    1500 Miles on GR86(BRZ)

I test drove a GR86 (BRZ) & a low miles E90 BMW. Liked the BMW better for it's power steering system, comfort, & smooth power delivery at 1/3 the cost. AWD is also handy in the PNW. That being said, the BRZ is a cool car. I would recommend test driving an older BMW 3 Series (E90 N52) if you...

Accord totaled, need a 'new' car

Look for a low miles BMW with an N52 inline 6 engine. For under $13k you can get a great performance car.

    Post your latest tire purchase

I bought winter tires off Craigslist for the Bimmer yesterday. Hakka's on BMW aluminum rims. Years of life left for this car that is not driven as a commuter.

    09 Lexus RX350 with 26k miles

Great deal. I just bought a near mint 2011 328i Xdrive for $13k. 36k miles with full service records, 1 owner, also drives like a new car. No regrets, these luxury cars sell for $60k new Was this car garaged?

    Craigslist!

I live near the Canadian border in the PNW. Vancouver Craigslist is stocked full of luxury car wheels, especially BMW.

    Craigslist!

Craigslist is a goldmine right now for factory wheels! Dozens of great deals in the PNW, mostly mounted with snow tires. Many sellers have returned thier leased vehicle & need to get wheels out of the garage.

    NAPA European oil

Customers believe the Valvoline branded product is superior & pay more for it. Off brand oils could cut into the branded oil business model.

    NAPA European oil

Valvoline would certainly want us to believe that they are different. Would love to see a lab analysis.

    6-month oil changes?

This is why the Xdrive versions are so popular in the PNW. But we don't live in the rust belt.

    6-month oil changes?

Good point. I Just bought a 2011 328xi with 36k on the clock. The first owner sadly passed away from cancer. Mine might see 5k yearly going forward, because I walk to work. Last year I drove 2k on my Toyota, but we put 10k on my wife's truck. Low miles Bimmers are pretty easy to find.

Is there such a thing as an unreliable U.S. new car today?

I remember pulling out the choke to start up my dad's 1972 Fiat Spyder. Fun car, but truly a death trap.

Is there such a thing as an unreliable U.S. new car today?

The "infotainment" systems seem to be a major weakness.
