    2022 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.5T, HPL No VII PCMO 5W-30 , 6K mi (~6mo)

My cars manual says 0w30 SN-plus. I use 5w30 or 0w30 depending on if I do the oil change or I take it to the dealer for regular maintenance. Contract-wise I am not 100 sure that anything other than what manual says is ok, but mechanically it should be totally fine to use xW-30 SN+/SP as kachachn...

Giving Chinese tires a shot....Zenna Sport Line

Haven't heard about these but I have a set of Westlake tiers on my CRV and they seem to do just fine, specially on a secondary vehicle. FWIW, the seller told me those are "two year" tiers.

    Honda 1.5L Turbo Reliability?

I haven't heard any updates or corrections made to this engine. I personally would stay away from this 1.5T if I wanted to keep the car beyond warranty period. Their hybrid powertrain for Accords seems to be more reliable.

2022 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.5T, Hyundai Pink Coolant (00232-19098), 53K mi

TGDI: At first, replace at 80,000 miles (130,000 km) or 10 years. After that, replace every 24,000 miles (39,000 km) or 24 months. It's interesting how the interval drops after the first change.

2022 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.5T, Hyundai Pink Coolant (00232-19098), 53K mi

Hello folks, Here is the coolant analysis for my 2022 Santa Fe. I see if I can get time to contact them to provide details on the coolant brand/sku. Nevertheless, it seems the car needs new coolant after just two years. I don't know the history of the coolant service but I don't expect anyone...

Upper cylinder lubricant which best brand?

I agree with you, practically, those who do not have access to high quality fuel might use UCL as a substitute. I am eager to see if he finally compares good gas vs avg gas vs avg gas plus some off the shelf additive.

First turbo vehicle for me....oil thoughts?

As folk mentioned, its an oil from HPL which does not have viscosity index modifiers, thus it does not loose viscosity temporarily or permanently. Also their oils has high cleaning characteristics which should help keep turbo clean from oil deposits

Lake Speed Jr. Tribologist discusses 0W8 motor oil

He showed a slide that had ionic liquids mentioned. Thats an interesting additive (if used) thats unknown to the typical DIYer here and probably isnt shown right in the current UOA. these might be the key to the new 0W-8/12 engine oil performance.

First turbo vehicle for me....oil thoughts?

I'm also in a similar situation with my first turbocharged car (a Hyundai). I chose HPL NO VII to clean out the deposits in the rings and turbo. At least for the first couple OCIs on a used car I think it's an excellent idea to clean the engine and turbo.
