Anyone else use KiCAD for PCB work?

I'm big into CAD....mostly open source tho. AutoCAD would be my 1st choice for 3D modeling, but I absolutely hate subscription software. I love kiCAD for electronics stuff. Hard to believe so much for free. I've used it to design a number of PCBs that I had manufactured. But there's a lot I...

Hey, I was discussing oil filters at another forum and was told Motorcraft filters were the best for my 1999 Dodge Caravan 3.3L The advice was that they were least restrictive while still providing superior filtration. Anyone here wanna confirm that? I can indeed say that the Motorcraft filter...

Broken Ring Lands - is it a sure thing they cause low compression?

Google searches reveal conflicting opinions. In a scenario where inspection reveals no other cause for loss of compression, would (or do) broken ring lands necessarily cause low compression? Now this might depend on the engine, the severity of the crack etc. For example, has the ring land...

Hi, first post here. I have a newly acquired 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8L If I didn't know cars and engines well, I would probably keep driving this vehicle since it pulls hard and feels darn near normal when driving and idling. But there is always someone who knows more or has had similar...
