Mopar Oil Filters from the Mopar store

I don't think anyone here will argue with your post. However, it comes down to one word. Hassle Is it worth the hassle when someone else may be footing the bill for a repair? I am not suing a company over an oil filter.

Tokyo department stores are on a whole new level for hardware...

My first thought as well, just like MCM. Too bad you can't walk in to one.

Mopar Oil Filters from the Mopar store

@RBT To keep in the spirit of the thread.... Check out Rock Auto for Mopar parts. Get your part number from Mopar, paste it in the search box, do not search by vehicle and see what it says. For the Wrangler/Ram filter: $7.84 each, case of 12 is $104 shipped. While I suspect you're good on...

Mopar Oil Filters from the Mopar store

While I understand and agree with your perspective, the hell I got from a Chrysler dealer about our Jeep 2.0T not having OE oil and filter during a warranty repair situation was ridiculous. They literally had to change out brand new oil/filter so they knew that it had Pennzoil and a Mopar filter...

Cheap LED Lights from Amazon..are they UL approved?

If it plugs into a wall, IMO it should be certified in some way. They may be hanging their hat on the recognition of the transformer inside of it. Many things plug into a USB and that ends up being the thing that needs certification. I'm just here for NRTL education...

    When's the Next HPL Sale?

Looks like the pricing has already gone up. When I bought PCEO in December it was $171 for 4 gal, now it's $205. Not criticizing, just reporting.

Does E85 make more power than gasoline in flexfuel vehicles?

Is it be possible that when the sensor sees regular gasoline that it doesn't just revert to previous maps, it goes to a more safe mode? After a couple tanks of gas, does the issue go away? Alcohol tends to have more punch than gasoline but needs more fuel to get that punch.

Struggle to commit to a 10,000Km oil change interval

I was just about to post. We're only talking about 6000miles. That's really not a lot. I understand people's issue with 10,000 miles (16000km) But 6000 miles/10000km should be childs play for most modern lubricants******* especially if you're getting to temp regularly. *******With a couple...

    Those Performing Extended Oil Changes

I follow my OLM on my Ram and go every 5000 for now on the Wrangler. The OLM on the Ram with my driving works out to about 10,000 miles. I did go to 20k once but the effort for the filter is too much, so I'm falling back to OLM/Life Based changes. AKA, sometimes it'll be 11000. I used Pennzoil...

While I agree.... I feel an EV hearse is a great use case for an EV.

    Kubota 724kh transaxle oil

Sounds like it's not picky. I'd pick something that is readily available. Since it's a ZTR, you should be fine using 15w50 which opens up Mobil 1 as readily available. I'd probably pick up filters from the dealer unless you can adequately cross it over. On Hydro gear transaxles, the filters...

Let's talk about living in the Northeast and underbody rust

While we do not have the salt usage that you do, my 2019 Ram is perfect underneath. We've switched to brine pre-treatment, followed up by salt. So even if you're not out the day of the weather, if you're out the day prior, you drive through all the brine. My Curt hitch that has only been used...

    Crocs & socks

I have outside crocs and inside crocs. I usually don't where socks unless its a little chilly. I wonder if the number in the bottom of the unlined croc wears on the sock? The rubber element make sense too since in the shoe, the sock slides better.

2014 Silverado 4.3 V6 picture with the oil pan off...

Is this still an old school 4.3? Aka a 350 minus 2 holes? If so, they shouldn't beat up oil, your brothers 6000 mile OCIs on name brand (or even store brand) shouldn't cause all that you're seeing, unless that 6000 miles comes at 5-10 miles a day.

Slow leak on new installed tires

Take it back and have them screw with it. While 2-5psi isn't a gross, catastrophic leak, it's not a small leak in my opinion. The shop should stand by their work.

    ZF8 Aluminum Pan

What vehicle are were talking about? The number 1 thing that comes to my head is potential clearance. The V8 ram has an exhaust crossover tube that goes right under the transmission pan.

    Preventative Tire Maintenance

Rotations at 10k for both vehicles. Tire pressure checks regularly through the EVIC (nearly daily for my truck and weekly for my wife's Jeep). I've built up comfort in the systems and where they are with relation to my gauge. Adjustments near season changes. Only balance when tires are changed...

JD LX266 Tuff Torq K62A Fluid Change

Thanks for the info. That’s pretty similar to what I found. There is for sure transfer between the units on mine. I’m going with 15w50 based on Tuff Torq suggesting 5w50 and this won’t be used in the winter.
