With starting a new, longer commute, I suspect time and convenience will become your new concerns. If the Sam’s is close, convenient, and a good price, I would go with that - from one long ‘work commuter’ to another!!

At a time of tightening base-oil production, I don’t understand getting rid of a base oil plant?? Will someone else buy and operate this?? It’s seems like in this market it’s a license for printing money??

Silicon is relatively high, and Al is high for the miles - some bearing wear going on from abrasive dirt in the engine. I’d check the air filter and pipes for leaks.

It’s not Mobil 1; it’s the step-down Mobil ‘full synthetic’ as FF - Mobil 1 has less calcium, and more magnesium in the add-pack. Also, without fuel, Mobil 1 would not shear down like this has.

Mazda had a kind of rocky start through the 70’s - the rotary engines were fast, but had problems. Mazda didn’t ‘get good’ until the 1977 GLC came out - they were everywhere in the early 80’s.
