    Southern Home Indoc

Im relocating from North Dakota to Alabama at the end of the month. Big change from a climate standpoint, and I'm not at all familiar with certain aspects of southern living to include bug/pest prevention (very minimal spiders, beetles, snakes, etc. up here) and generally very different home...

If I could opt out at this point, agree to zero benefits and accept my losses of what was paid in up to this point I would jump. Of course, a pipe dream.

U-BOX Pods for moving - any experience?

That is great info. Appears that I'll be making a cross country move within the next 2 months. I know a guy that my parents have used that will fly him and at least one other out to you, gets a deal on a Penske, and will load, drive, unload, return the truck and then fly himself back home. All...

If anyone is planning contrary to this that is a concern in and of itself, and far more concerning than worrying about investment mix. At 36, I'm operating under the assumption that at best my SS will be highly eroded and/or deferred, if I receive anything at all.

U-BOX Pods for moving - any experience?

So, containers a better option vs a plethora of same-size boxes? Curious on cost. Ease of loading with the containers I can see, although they'll end up heavier than individual boxes.

Spirit Airlines shuts down at 3am est May 2nd

Delta includes a carry on with their basic fare as well. I fly Allegiant often, and the non-stop is great but obviously it's only an option if your city pairings and dates/times work out as they leave no choice in most cases.

Setting up Hunting PGJ sprinkler head

I think OP meant Hunter, not Hunting. My Toro heads work the same except left arc stop is fixed and right is adjustable. Getting a WiFi controller so you can do everything from anywhere in your yard is the way to go.

I think my fleet is expanding...again. Not sure what to buy next.

Interesting...I wonder if it's a Y8 issue then. I've never heard of the previous gen SOHC versions having any issues. I have over 100k on mine with the last 30k miles being severe service and I have no issues.

    Lets talk about new vehicles

Concur. They somehow figure out a way to make them even uglier with every generation, at least for the Forester and Outback.

I think my fleet is expanding...again. Not sure what to buy next.

Honda's DI J series is not susceptible to carbon build-up issues like other DI only engines. Not saying it won't happen, but I've never heard of anyone needing a valve cleaning on these and they've been in use for over a decade now. The timing belt is a nothing burger given its change interval.

    New 2027 VW Atlas

The EA888 is easily tuned, even with a piggyback box if an ECU flash is a concern. Can easily pick up an extra 30+hp/30+ tq which would come in helpful given its a porker relative to the other vehicles that VAG uses the 2.0 in. This arguably makes it more desirable than the VR6 option if you are...

Why is your floor drain under a wall!?!

If applying for jobs, here is a tip

I dunno, if you were a potential employer of @Zee09 and read the first sentence of the first post in the "Lets talk about new vehicles" thread, what would your hiring decision be? 🤣

Would your favorite car dealer wholesale a car for you?

I have no personal interest in a Fit either, but narrow is great for saving garage space and wind/road noise matters little if it's being purchased for city use and not interstate cruising.

    FICO Score Inflation?

I've heard you can get underwritten without a credit history, although it is more difficult.

    FICO Score Inflation?

That was my example...opened this card a year ago for a great bonus offer, hit the spending minimum to get said bonus, and then put a calendar reminder to close it before the annual fee hit. I'm all for playing the game too, although I'm only interested in the game if it pays $600+ on the offer.

    Water softeners which is best

Yes, it's based on measured consumption and usually hardness in ppm is the baseline for setting how often a regen takes place. Mine does a regen every 1600 gallons or so, and it is set to complete the regen at 2am as to not interrupt usage.

    FICO Score Inflation?

Within the past few months I've noticed my FICO gain 20+ points despite no major changes other than me closing a card that has had a zero balance for quite some time. In theory, that should have caused a score decrease due to a loss of available credit, yes? Curious if they went to a different...

Two very old credit card interest rates

It really depends on the tier of Visa or MC. Visa Infinite is superior to MC World Elite, for example. Many don't realize that Visa or MC themselves provide additional benefits/perks on top of whatever the issuing company is providing. Example - my Cap1 Venture X is a Visa Infinite. I get Hertz...
