My go to glass cleaner is homemade: - 60% water - 20% vinegar - 20% alcohol (70% is fine). In a 2l / 2qt bottle of the above add 8 drops of dawn liquid and 1 tablespoon of Simple Green. Cheap and it works.

You could have a shop do a fluid exchange. Don't do a flush, just a fluid exchange!!!

Can you recover some of the old fluid? If you can have the old fluid undergo a UOA.

Sounds (no pun intended) like the clutch is the problem. Why? The temp of the air coming from the vents is 41*. See if the clutch can be adjusted or replaced without opening up the system. Don't add more refrigerant. It's fine now.

I've seen 38mpg (instantaneous) on flat sections of road at 65mph with the car set to "Eco Pro." Not bad for an engine that produces close to 400hp.

I think it depends on your budget. But, with the rising electricity rates I think the better long term solution is to go with a new system.

I sent an email to the BMWCCA tech guru and after some back and forth he says it's the driveshaft. OUCH! I'll see if BMW NA can give some consideration considering that the car has just 44k miles on it.

I'd replace it with a GFCI breaker from Square D. They ain't cheap, tho!

The issue is/was that SD gets infrequent rain. Oil tends to accumulate on the roads. When it does rain the mix is slick as ice.

Just own a car with a stick shift!!!
