Another Saudi refinery was hit this weekend by Houthis in Yemen.

I remember when the most Americans had to adapt to was cofete. Pepperidge Farms might remember too.

    Heart Surgery Scar Staring

From a broken ankle in 2000 I have 2 plates and 7 or so screws in my right ankle, nice scars on both sides. Works fine. I have bolts, rods and screws in my spine from ladder shenanigans of 2022, the scar is visible above my waistline, but also the repair was flawless. Varicose veins in lower...

    Altima CVT transmission slipping

Depends on the CVT type, the heavy duty chain style in the Maxima was bulletproof, the Altimas were still - I might be wrong - steel elements on steel belt, however these still last if the maintenance is done, owner not following the Nissan BS of no service required.

    Altima CVT transmission slipping

Don't bother with the filter inside the transmission pan. Do change the small pleated paper filter under the aluminum cap with 4 pc x 10mm bolts on the side of transmission.

    Walmart Oil Aisle Today

SW Ontario Walmart today, no 0W20 Penn Plat Synthetic in stock, the choice I made was Valvoline 0W20 Full Syn High Mileage which was a steal because the shelf said $49.98 for 5L jug, but the checkout scanner said $39.98 so I was upset there were no more 0W20 to steal !! The SuperTech 0w20 Full...

U-Haul seems to be morphing into a storage company that rents trucks on the side.

The explosion of this space rental for your junk is amazing. Talk about a first world problem. People will pay to store something their mother or grandmother bequeathed to them because they WILL NEVER let that thing sit in their house. Reasons: It's ugly, it doesn't work, it smells like cat...

Crankcase Breather for newer cars pushing high horsepower?

The old pre 1960's cars that vented crankcase pressure to the air via a tube or open ports on the rocker covers would not meet the EPA standards for emissions. Starting in 1961's the PCV valve forced the fumes to be consumed in the engine intake stroke and be burned in the engine. You would...

Only if it was forced into the wrong shape or forced into returning to normal shape should you be concerned. Doesn't sound like you need worry.

Aisin Trans. Rec. Fluid Changes Every 12.5K, '25 Rav4

The replacement interval will be stated in the car or truck owners manual, if at all. The Aisin Company wants might desire the sales of fluid and fluid service machines, but the OEM car maker will not pass through these desires to their customers unless they match what the OEM maker needs for...

Do you or have you owned a rusty vehicle?

SW Ontario is just as bad as any place on earth, but Quebec - Montreal is worse. So many 1 and 2 year old cars registered in Quebec arrive in Ontario to be sold as 'nearly new' and within 3 years these are pretty easy to spot versus the regular Ontario cars that rust in 5 years or so. The 2019...

VW may axe Taos and Jetta under restructure

I read about 1 year ago that the Taos was the vehicle rated the #1 that people regretted purchasing. I think it was because it was typically poorly equipped to meet a price point.
