    Vacuum Brake Bleeder Recommendation

thanks- I have considered tape like you mentioned but then I worry a piece will tear off and block abs pump, I think grease is the better way (use silicone dielectric or Sil-Glide?).

    Vacuum Brake Bleeder Recommendation

I'm concerned about pulling in air around the bleeder valve. Get bubbles all day? This method work well for you?

Should capacitors on old ECM be replaced?

This is not covered in EE 101, Bro. Seems like its your ego - not mine. The point is a device in use will preserve its caps- disuse , no.

Should capacitors on old ECM be replaced?

I somewhat agree- lack of use still does this. you're right about the oxide layer but passing current by use keeps the oxide layer useable. Either way, use keeps the cap useable, disuse does not Thanks for looking it up on AI

Maybe looking in the owners manual would answer your question (if it's still there or on-line in owners forum(s)?

Should capacitors on old ECM be replaced?

if equipment containing electrolytic capacitors, typically found in its power supply, is used often the capacitors will not dry out and fail. If they do go dry, they can be "reformed" using a Variac.

    Honda V6 VCM, again.

thanks Jeff- I pulled the correct #3 plug and #5 as comparison. The 3 plug had dry black deposits on tips and porcelain and not on the threads, while 5 was white. Both with sharp electrodes. The 3 plug was really loose- these engines have a rep for plug loosening. I believe those deposits are...

    Graphene coating

My experience is opposite your's- put some of the adams graphene ($160 for a small bottle) on hood as an experiment and its still there after 2 years. Cant get it off if I wanted to, but it all depends on car use and environment

New car sales dwindling due to high cost

I look at the amount of time I need to work to buy a new car mostly- not cost bc everybody's wages are so high. A highway flagger around here get $53+/hr to wave a flag or just over $110k/year, a hamburger flipper almost$ 20/hr- its all relative. Taking those wages in account, new car cost is...

    Honda V6 VCM, again.

All this talk here over the VCM issues and the need for muzzlers. I have a 2008 VCMII with 126 k miles. Never had ANY issues with this car. Just routine maintenance and wear items replacement. Not a single repair. I keep it bc its so reliable and does not collect info on me. Looks great, super...

Your Current Favorite 3/8th drive Ratchet ?

Question? What question? Simply stating my opinion like you. Right? I simply use a soldering gun on the head of the fastener for a minute, just in case it feels tight. No brute force and no chance of buggering up the screw head. In case you don't know, the heat liquifies lock-tite, its not a...
