It is the end of the road for my Integra

Sad to see it go. But it’s a perfect excuse to do the JDM front end conversion. It's been done numerous times, but...

Post your Gas Mileage : Calculated

Just for kicks, I filled up at half a tank at just under six gallons after driving 170.9 miles at a different Costco station, which resulted in only 29 MPG.

Post your Gas Mileage : Calculated

Another post for Costco regular 87 on my K20C2 Civic. 30.85 MPG in 261.5 miles of driving. No horrendous traffic jam like last time to decimate mileage. Drove much farther than last week.

Post your Gas Mileage : Calculated

Might as well contribute. Recent fill up on Costco 87 in my Civic with the mighty K20C2: 28.59 MPG I usually average about 30-31MPG, but a long traffic jam ruined my mileage, coupled with possible winter gas. My commute is about half highway, half city driving.

    Tire Rack Road Hazard Protection

So, the shop I went to repaired the tire. And this wasn't some urban used tire shop, too. But a family-owned business that comes highly recommended. And they were near to me. Why not Discount Tire? The nearest branch is 10 miles away with highway driving. Either I could risk driving on this...

    Tire Rack Road Hazard Protection

Well, to cap off my third thread on BITOG, here's my predicament. I just found this large screw on one of my tires. A set which was installed only three and a half weeks ago. And I've only covered less than a thousand miles on them. Based on what I can find online, this is technically...

    Odyssey AGM Issue

Yet another ask-strangers-on-the-internet post; and my second thread on BITOG! A few months ago, I replaced the one-and-a-half-year-old factory Honda EFB (made by Clarios) with an Odyssey H5 AGM on my '24 Civic. Why would I replace such a newish battery? I thought I saw battery acid leaking...

Used OEM original Honda 15400-PLM-A02 oil filter cut open

Ah yes, 15400-PLM-A02, the oil filter I keep hearing is not as good as RTA-003. Honestly, I don't see what's wrong with it. For normal applications, it meets my criteria. Though I'm still confused on who makes it. A lot say Fram, but others say it's Honeywell.

    2024 Civic & 2023 CX-5 - Maintenance Ideas

I planned on keeping both at least 10 years. As for the battery, I thought to swap it due to my hardwired dashcam for parking mode (and the fact that the Civic has start-stop). I won't swap the battery in the CX-5 until that fails. And don't get me started on the 0W-20 vs 5W-30 debate I see on...

    2024 Civic & 2023 CX-5 - Maintenance Ideas

Thanks! Trust me, I do make crazy and dumb decisions on both cars. Heck, when I though I saw battery acid leaking on the Civic, I used it as an excuse to swap the Honda EFB to an Odyssey AGM, only for that battery to die in five months. Thank goodness for warranty. Speaking of the battery, I've...

    2024 Civic & 2023 CX-5 - Maintenance Ideas

Hello BITOG! Let me stat my first post to say, I am not a DIYer. Nor do I have the wherewithal to work on my own vehicles. Thou I do like to know the process and will to the simple stuff, like swap the air filters. And any mods that doesn't involve any body work or soldering, I'd attempt it...
