I'm actually not sure. I'm ok with basic LS3 and LS2 corvette stuff but didn't pay a lot of attention to when DOD/AFM/VVT was implemented on the truck 5.3's. If I remember right there is some sort of plate with a wire connector on it. I'll have to research that and look a bit closer at it...
