Yeah. I was recommended Permatex and Hylomar as it is suited for waterpumps specifically.

Is that an option ? I did consider this but could not find much info

I know what you mean, I did try that initially but I had already bent the gasket by this point and it was difficult keeping the gasket in it's correct alignment with the bolts whilst trying to screw them in.

I know how to install the waterpump. I just need to know which is best to stick the gasket to the waterpump as shown above. It is a W203 Mercedes C240.

There are threads in the engine block where I attach the pump to . I just need to be able to stick the gasket onto the waterpump to make installation easier.
