Is it economical to buy new?

If you plan to keep the car for long term like you say, buying new is a good choice. You might want to get an extended warranty like I did for 5 years and 100K. They will try to overcharge you on the ext warranty however. Act like you're not interested until the price of the warranty gets down...

    Oil Recommendation 2013 Civic Si

I'm surprised Honda went back to 20 oil on the Si. [I just sold my '03 SI oil burner.] Everyone is giving opinions and so am I...go with a 0/5/10w30 instead of 0/5w20 due to your warmer climate and the more aggressive way you drive. One grade up will hurt nothing, esp. with such a great Honda...

I.R.S. scam message on my cell phone

Just got a message to call the I.R.S. back at (530) 876-6477 for some legal trouble I was in. Some indian accent computer-ish dude left message. Weird thing is that they knew my name and it was my cell phone. Oddly I just bought a car this weekend and gave out a lot of personal info during that...

Any Prius c owners out there?

Couldn't pull the trigger on the slow Prius C though I really liked it, then they had a couple of Camry's for $4K under MSRP and offered me way above $ what I expected for the Frontier in trade-in so I left with a V6 Camry SE. I even bought a 5 year 100k bumper to bumper extended warranty for...

Any Prius c owners out there?

My Civic SI has been sold and I'm considering getting a high mpg car due to me doing about 30k per year at the present. I test drove one [a new '13] and yes, it's slow, but I may be able to deal with it if the mpg is really around 50...my driving is 50/50 mix [maybe a little more city]. My...

2014 is the last year they will make the Toyota FJ

If it wasn't so underpowered it could have been an interesting vehicle. This is the same thing I felt about an MR2 Spyder I used to own.
