Record Surge in Past-Due Student Loans Adds to US Debt Burden

Or we are talking about the tons of other things the government restricts or regulates to “protect” the public. An 18 yrs old can take out $50,000 of unsecured debt with no plan for repayment putting themselves into debt slavery. But God forbid that same 18 yrs old wants some beer on the...

Help settle an argument. Are US Navy personnel ever considered "soldiers"?

If you were visiting another country wearing an American flag tshirt and someone said “Oh hey, someone from England.” You’d likely correct them, right? You aren’t just gonna be like “Too right you, Gov” and start acting British for the rest of the interaction. This is just something that is...

Less than 200 Miles a year, Change Oil every 6 months?

Yearly gets my vote. Something cheap like Supertech oil and filter shouldn’t break the bank. And I probably wouldn’t put anymore than half a tank of gas at a time. Keep it fresh.

Help settle an argument. Are US Navy personnel ever considered "soldiers"?

No. One is an act and other is a generalized term. There are soldiers in the Army who only push papers or cook meals. Nothing do with fighting. Civilians always like to think about the military as the boots on the ground grunts or SpecOps, but in reality the majority of the Armed Forces are not...

That’s what you call your buddies though. And you’re using the correct slang to describe them. That’s way different than the topic at hand which is a civilian mislabeling a service member who I would assume they don’t know even otherwise they would know a SEAL isn’t a soldier.

Help settle an argument. Are US Navy personnel ever considered "soldiers"?

Typically, when you’re being referred to by a generic term like “sailor” by a fellow sailors it’s pretty much derogatory in its intent. If somebody says “sailor” or “shipmate” as your title then you screwed up, you’re in trouble or they don’t like you. Or maybe even all of the above. It’s kind...

Help settle an argument. Are US Navy personnel ever considered "soldiers"?

Your friend or whoever is confusing similarities in roles across different branches as being the same things. If you’re in the Army and piloting a boat are you now called a sailor?

In the Navy you are technically a sailor regardless of the your gender, job, rank or title. That said that above things will define what people will actually call you.

Harley Davidson Names Topgolf’s Artie Stars as New CEO

Shareholders don’t care about rallies, meet ups, and nostalgia. HOG is a publicly traded company looking to return profits to its investors. HD is in the business of selling motorcycles, which unlike cars, is generally a luxury item or toy, and not a basic necessity. HD needs people to buy new...

Do hybrids last as long as naturally aspirated engine and do they make sense?

A commuter vehicle is a liability not an investment. There are mechanisms which can decrease or increase losses overtime but it is going to be a loss in the end no matter how you dice it.
