    Pink Coolant?

Need to find green? What is best?

The only "green" antifreeze I will ever use is Peak's 50/50 pre-mix.

Which Rotella for Winter - 10w30 or 5w40?

I run the Rotella 10W30 year round in my Jeeps. No noises or problems at all......even in below 0F temps. I think you'll need to worry more about your battery than your oil in my opinion.

    American v European Trucks

The Cab-over design is dead in the US. I think it finally died in the 80s. Every big rig these days is of a conventional design, where the engine is out front and the cab is over the trans. It makes engine maintenance much easier and it is probably cheaper to produce and assemble the vehicle as...

rotella 5w-40 synthetic in gas engines

There's nothing wrong with using the Rotella 5W40 in a gas engine. Before Castrol released the Syntec 5W40, I used the Rotella in various gas burning VWs for years. If the Castrol didn't exist, I'd still be using the Shell.

Rotella T 10w30 additive fallout?? pics included

Just shake your bottles up before using or don't buy so much oil if you aren't going to use it in a timely manner. I don't keep more than a couple of gallons of my favorite oils in the garage at any one time.

Oil recommendations for 1987 Buick Grand National

Nobody that I knew ran conventional oil in them. As far as them not being expensive, they are. The GN/T Type, especially GNX, isn't worth as much without it's original numbers matching engine. The value of the car is directly related to the engine (and drivetrain) in most all cases. And to build...

Oil recommendations for 1987 Buick Grand National

Since you insist on knowing, I'll brag a little. My dad had a 86 GN that he bought new back in the early 90s that I wrenched on. Long story short, that car went from a mid/high 13 second stocker to a high 9 second car-only only 1 turbo and with a 2004R trans and with the stock 10bolt rearend. It...

    03 Jetta GLI oil question

Castrol Syntec 5w40 and Mobil 1 0w40 meet all the VW specs or if you want something more robust, Shell Rotella T SYN 5w40. I personally run the Syntec 5w40.

Oil recommendations for 1987 Buick Grand National

Yes they do. I use it in my Jeep 4.0. It is NOT synthetic-it's conventional diesel oil. I can easily find it at the local Menards (home improvement store) in gallon jugs.

Oil recommendations for 1987 Buick Grand National

I'm not going to argue with you or anything, but I just happen to have TONS of experience with Buick 3.8 Turbo engines, but I'm not going to bore you with all that. Point being, anyone that knows anything about turbo engines in general knows you only run synthetic oil in them. To each their own...
