    Microsoft gathering EVERYTHING( Windows10 )

I think most of those things can be turned off when setting up Windows for the first time, if you choose use "Express" settings then it will have everything enabled. It was the same in Windows 8 and 8.1 I consider myself more "tech savy" and i NEVER use quick install or default settings install...

Most inaccurate dipsticks - 4th gen Maxima

You should try dipsticks in Toyotas. Haven't driven a gasoline one but their diesel dipsticks are way too inaccurate. Those lazy engineers at Toyota.

Anyone Download Windows 10 Yet? Thoughts ... ?

I updated my ultrabook to Windows 10 a couple of weeks ago. Everything works fine and its mostly stable except for 1 thing. There are 2 things that annoy me: 1. Cant change log in screen background 2. Start menu sometimes decides to stop working and takes MINUTES to load even though i am...

    Best AV protection for PC?

Bitdefender or Kaspersky. Both have shown very consistent reviews based on tests done in the last couple of years by labs or amateur reviewers. Cant go wrong with either of those.

    Purolator PSL-12222, 10.5k CUT OPEN

Dont know what is the fuzz about the wavy pleats. AFAIK synthethic Puro's always had wavy pleats even when new, so this should not be a surprise and definitely not a sign of inferior quality or bad quality control. Keep in mind im not saying there are no better options out there because IMO i'd...

    Eco Guard #4612 CUT OPEN

Yeah, it looks pretty good for an 8K filter "made in china" and i cant really see any manufacturing anomalies from these pics. Good filter when you take into account that it was made in china and everyone associates that with inferior products usually.

2017 Hyundai Elantra (production pics 'leaked')

This will definitely be a hit worldwide. Mark my words. The design is pretty good and at the same time not over the top. Masses will probably love it. Sleek and clean design IMO. As long as they dont overprice it.

    torn purolater wrecked my motor?

Just like most people said, i dont think a filter tear can cause that much damage. In fact, i have a story of my own. Ill make the story as short as possible. A few years ago, we had a BMW E39 with a M54 6-cyl engine. One thing i can tell you is that one day we discovered that the engine was...

BMW's sold here are set to 12,000KMs here and as you all know, it varies depending on driving conditions. I always change it way before the OLM gets to 0. My OCIs are 7.5KMs on synthethic oil and original filters for all my euro vehicles.

The oil broke down, even the VI went down to 149 which is extremely low for this oil. Maybe the "Oxidation 194%" is the red flag here?

    New Tacoma oil change schedule???

Decent oil + Decent filter and you are set. 5K miles doesnt seem like a lot in a gas engine. So i'd say your plan sounds good and you will not have any problems at all.
