I ran this oil much longer than I normally do just to see how it would hold up. I think it did pretty good. I think I could easily change oil at 8000 miles instead of 5000ish.
The fuel dilution was up but I changed the tune earlier this fall. I may need to change the AFR. I drove bike 10-15...
I would expect high numbers like this in the primary. Like alarmguy stated it is a filthy area lots of metal rubbing and clutch wear. Like others have stated iron is most likely from compensator, chain, sprockets and clutch steel plates. The aluminum is probably from the clutch basket where...
Yes, there is an oil change in between the last 2 samples.
The chrome one.
I think they flag it based on the numbers given to them from Amsoil?? I had to call Amsoil a while back and ask them why something was getting flagged and Amsoil had them change it at OAI.
I agree, I think next oil change wear metals should be lower. I'm guessing Oil Analyzers has not been notified of changes in oil recipe??That guy is me.. Oil has been changed 5 times.
Nope clutch and engine is separate. The last 2 twin cam engines I had took about 20,000 miles for wear metals to drop where they should be. Hopefully this M8 is no different.
I put everything together. Fuel Moto ported the heads and Darkhorse did the lower end. I installed the tune from Fuel Moto to complete the 3 heat cycles and brought to a local tuner.
Power is impressive. I downshift a lot less now while pulling a trailer. I will do this to the next bike much sooner because it's such a blast to ride.
Yes, all samples are MCV.
Thanks for the heads up on VIN. Probably should have covered it up.
You will have a blast when you do the engine...
I rebuilt engine over the winter.
!0,000 miles on rebuild. Fuel Moto 107, Wood 777 cams, Level B heads and lower end done by Darkhorse. 128.5ft.lb. torque
Samples 13 and 14 were from rebuild. Sorry for the small print not sure how to fix it.

Wish I had time to put that kind of miles on the bike...
Agree everything seems fine with the bike and oil...
