    Amsoil AME 15W40, 21K, 04 Duramax

I haven't really decided at that point. I'm about to clean the Amsoil air filter at the 25K mark and want to see how the silicon numbers trend on the next round. I was expecting to see a slight improvement...

    Amsoil AME 15W40, 21K, 04 Duramax

I did top off with the same oil. The 2.5QT total add was split between 3 different adds within the 10-15K range. No oil has been added/needed since the 15K mark. This was also the first run on the Amsoil EA air filter, all previous runs were with K&N. Doesn't look like much difference in silicon...

    Amsoil AME 15W40, 21K, 04 Duramax

Submitted this oil sample right at a year hoping that I could squeeze 25K out of this fill. Based on the results now I'm wondering if I shouldn't be extending this longer? I will probably still replace the Amsoil oil filter at 25K, if not oil & filter. Make/Model: Isuzu 6.6 Duramax LLY...

    Amsoil SS5w30, 8K, 04 Chevy Tahoe

Dropping the K&N at 133K miles seems to be paying off with the steady decline in Silicon. I will be running this oil for another 4 months (~4K miles) and checking back in to see how things are looking. Make/Model: GM 5.3L V-8 Vehicle: 2004 Chevy Tahoe Code: OIL Ams ASL 5w30 Ams...

    Amsoil Sig 5w30, 13K, 05 Chevy Tahoe

On the 04 Tahoe I switched in the middle of an oil run from K&N to a Wix and started noticing an improvement on silicon numbers (K&N was 46ppm @ 9K, Wix was 38ppm @ 10K). I'll be doing another UOA on it next month after 8K miles on the new oil (~17K on the Wix) to see how those compare to the...

    Amsoil Sig 5w30, 13K, 05 Chevy Tahoe

2nd ever UOA sample. Oil was not dumped at time of sample, but was after receiving results. This is the 2nd GM 5.3L with high silicon, and can't seem to figure out why? This one is still running a K&N air filter in the stock air box. Make/Model: GM 5.3L V-8 Vehicle: 2005 Chevy Tahoe Code...

    Amsoil Sig 10w30, 10K, 07 Chevy 3500

Around the 5-6K mile marker the owner had a rear main seal leak in the engine and had the gaskets replaced. I believe that is mostly responsible for the large spike in Silicon, although the high wear numbers also indicate that dirt could have been dumped in the engine during this work...

With regards to the boron and phosphorus, please see the mileage of the tests. All 3 were done with their own fill of ATF.

    Amsoil OE 15w40, 5K, 10 Ford F-350

Agree with Pablo, for 1.6x the results certainly look like a step in the right direction to me. Looking forward to the next oil analysis. As far as the cost, let's do some math. User was doing 3K intervals with Ford Motorcraft and spending about $120 per oil change. At 15K miles a year that's...

    04 Chevy 2500HD, 56K Transynd ATF, 133K

All tests were against the same fill of Allison/Castrol Transynd. Fluid was changed during the last sample and replaced with Amsoil Multi-Vehicle ATF. I'll probably run this up to 50K before doing my next sample. Still don't understand why the viscosity was so much lower than what Castrol states...

Valvoline uses Sodium in their add pack. It will continue to come down as the old oil gets drained out.

I'm not sure the frequency, but I believe he carries 3 wix paper air filters so he can blow them out and rotate until its time to replace.

The silicon is explained on how the truck is used, gas/oil field. 30 miles off road to a job site in high dust conditions, I don't see this as an issue with air filtration. Under the conditions I think it did just fine. Note nothing on this report was flagged as a concern. I'm going to wait for...
