Yeah the next set I was considering were like another $200+ for brand name. I figure it’s not like we’re road racing or climbing mountains with thing lol! Mostly just commuting to see her patients. Although we will take it to Tahoe a couple times for sure during the winter.
My wife racked up 40k mi. on this thing already! Mohave’s look pretty decent. Made in UK I believe. We’ll see how they do. I inspected the brake pads and had them inflate the spare to proper psi. 225/55R18 All Weather tires were $626.96 OTD.
I’m interested in 0w40 choices as well. The M1 Euro is well liked by everyone. How about the Ultra Platinum 0w40’s? Are these the same oil in different colored bottles? Pretty cheap too for $7.69 at Napa.
I just got quoted $626 OTD for the Mojave CUV’s in 225/55/R18 installed, mounted, & balanced from America’s Tire. Costco down the street has BFG Advantage Control’s for $784.87 OTD
Just wanted to update some pics. I compared the oversize filter options for our Toyota Matrix’s and Pontiac Vibe’s 1.8L. Also, gonna use the same oversize filter on our 2005 Toyota Highlander with the 2.4L. The 4967 is so much smaller than the rest. The FL400, 3600, and 3614 all have the same...
My ‘85 Mustang/‘04 Cobra swap was dyno tuned on 93 octane. I don’t really smash on it, just cruisin most of the time, but I really want to be safe for when I do get on it.
I gas up all our cars at the nearby Costco. We only have 91 octane here in California. I’d like to bump it up to at least 93 octane for one of my cars. I see so many different brands on the shelves. Any recommendations?
That’s what I was thinking. I couldn’t imagine it just flowing back into the engine just open like that with dirt/debris flying around in the engine compartment.
The drain hole on the side of the oil filter bowl. Where does this oil actually flow down to? I’ve just been wiping the bowl clean every OCI. On our ‘22 Crosstrek.
We have 3 Pontiac Vibes in our fleet currently. I just sold my low mileage 2003 Matrix XRS. All have been excellent cars for my entire family. Will keep ‘em forever!
