    Top off oil

Depends on how long until you change it. If you are changing it very soon then the least expensive for topoff would be good. If change time was going to be winter then the synthetic Napa.

    5w20 in a 92 LS400?

I wouldn't feel comfortable with a total fill of 5w20. I could see using 1 qt to 4 qts of 5w30.

    AC Delco PF52 E-Core

This came of my non-sc Grand Prix. 7 months, 2600 miles in service. Oil was DEXos blend Pennzoil. Filter was perfect other than the plastic cage was a little brittle, but no holes in the media.

Finally, the best oil additive in the whole world

Doesn't shampoo pass this test too or something like that? The product probably has EP additives in it. I'm sure any gear oil would pass this dumb test.

    Divorcing Mobil 1

For 5k consider a Dexos blend which is only a dollar and some change more than conventional (like Pennzoil's or Q.S..) Obviously conventionally is totally fine for 5k miles as well.

    3800 S3, cleaning experiment Mobil EP 5W-30 + MMO

I've replaced a few timing cover gaskets on the Series 3. Overall the lower intake gaskets are much better as far as failure goes. A very good (and cheap) coolant lose fix are the large coolant pellets made by Bars or GM also sells them. The amount of pellets added depends on the cooling...
