Can anyone tell me the difference between the new blue bottle Dex/Merc ATF and the old Red bottle Maxlife Dex/Merc ATF? I don't see Dex/Merc on the new red bottle ATF. My honda needs the Dex/Merc.

My 07 is not a VCM, but I also have an 18 CRV with the 1.5 Earth Dreams disaster motor, which takes the same oil filter. I have experienced fuel dilution in the CRV. So far, boats.net says they have the 15400-PLM-A01 by filtech, but sells them in lots of 30, for about 8.50 each.

I will cut my filter open, and post pictures here. If I see results like 901Memphis', I will add many more magnets to my filters. That is awesome. I have piles of old hard drives to shred. The hard drive magnets are very, very strong, and I've seen two magnets per for each one Ive opened.

So many comments about how changing your filter with an oil change gives you all new oil, 100 % fresh oil, etc. I just don't believe this to be true. There is a certain amount of retained oil, not evacuated by the draining and filter removal. Ever broken down an engine? There is oil everywhere...
