    Hard to believe

There IS a cure for stupid, just let natural selection work. Problem is sometimes bystanders get caught by the debris. Trying to create a "safe" world is futile.

Foods you loved that make you gag now

Liver & Onions Hostess Twinkies Tried them when I was a kid, made me gag, the thought of eating either still does. Pretty much anything else, I'll at least try, ya never know when you'll find something new that you like.

    Post your latest oil change

Probably a good plan to do a transmission service as well, just a spill and fill, use Honda fluid. I'd be willing to bet the cabin and intake filters haven't been done either, worth checking if you don't have access to a service history. Good luck with your Odyssey

    Opinion on Honda's 1.5 L turbo

Had my 2023 Civic Touring Sedan 1.5t serviced today, second OC @6000 miles, changed to Mobil1 0w20 EP at 3k, oil was dark today but not significantly up on the stick. Took a sample at 2800 miles and sent to Brookstone, their methodology on dilution is not the best, but wanted to see wear metals...

    5000 mile oil filters

I finally gave up worrying about it, I just let the Honda dealer's Service Technician install the only filter Honda sells, the 15400-PLM-A02, otherwise known as the Fram in the blue can, I supply 4 quarts of Mobil1 0w20 EP, they do the rest. Generally 3500-4000 miles later, repeat. Sometimes in...

yay or nay on wireless charging

My 2023 Honda Civic Touring Sedan has a factory installed Qi wireless charger which was intermittent with my iPhone Xr and really made both phone and charger hot. My iPhone 14 Pro in an Otterbox commuter case, which is quite thin but has camera lenses that protrude enough to prevent it from...

Never before have I been so uninspired/disinterested...

My Gold Stanford of Civics was my 1991 CRX si, 5-speed, air and am/fm cassette with the Honda add-on CD player. Ran over 100 000 completely trouble-free miles until I (in retrospect, foolishly) traded it on a 95 Civic EX Coupe. Most enjoyable car I've ever had, it's elegance was it's simplicity...

Never before have I been so uninspired/disinterested...

Totally agree on the black wheels, total effect looks like black steelies without hubcaps. The total "murdered out" look with all-black trim and dark tinted glass is something I can nether understand or appreciate, it's ugly, at least to me. The 11th gen hatchback rear is certainly less...

Never before have I been so uninspired/disinterested...

Gotta disagree somewhat, I had a 10 gen 2019 Touring Coupe, while I enjoyed the car, found the styling kinda garish with too many non-functional grills and styling frills. The current Sedan (sadly no more coupes) is more Accord-like, simpler and a bit more refined looking. I agree the current...

Never before have I been so uninspired/disinterested...

About 6 months ago I took delivery of a 2023 Honda Civic Touring Sedan, actually got a small discount off MSRP ($500). Have driven Hondas for 40 years, so far (5000 miles) it has been a delightful experience, all the "tech" works, it's quiet and comfortable and handles well (Replaced the factory...

Fram Ultra, Titanium & Endurance now 98% at 20-30 microns ISO 4548-12

Actually I finally got off the filter roulette wheel, after the Mobil1 filters went from Champion to Purolator (Mann-Hummel) I found it impossible to determine who makes what and where anymore, filters have become, at best, questionable as far as performance and quality. I took the simplest...

    "Healthier" "cream based" chowder recipe

If there is something you really enjoy, enjoy it as is in moderation. Interesting how the "healthy option", "low fat", low sodium " or low calorie" versions of most anything usually taste like crap. Life is too short.

BP Fuel Comes To Central Pennsylvania

Well, bit the bait, BP credit card is on the way. Station is right near me and on the way to work, right now they are $3.45/gal, lowest in the area, with the. 30 off for 60 days, then .15 thereafter, worth a try. It's a nice clean hi-volume station with new pumps. Speedway has the highest prices...

3 New Fram FS3506 filters - all different construction!!!

This is getting to be like Wack-A-Mole or guess which walnut shell hides the pea. It’s filter roulette. Honda warranties their engines using the 15400-PLM-A02, I'll stick with that instead of the guessing games. Wish they'd stuck with the 15400-PLM-A01 made by Filtech but, hey, I'll stick with...

    Oil changes for warranty

This is what I do, decent dealer and I use a specific Technician who does exceptional work. Sometimes it pays to build a good working relationship with someone you can trust.
