Correct. However, Castrol confirmed to me via email that the recently produced bottles with the old logo and 20k label still contain the 25k ‘formula’. Not sure if the formula is different or not, but it meets all the claims that the 25k bottle does.

The whole rack is bad? Looks like you just need new inner and outer tie rods. The inside part that broke isn’t the rack, it’s the inner tie rod.

I once cleaned my wheels and tires in the upstairs bathtub as a teenager 😄 parents weren’t home, and the wheels and tires sure looked nice afterward! Not sure on my reasoning but I think it was because I wanted to wash them in hot water instead of cold water from the hose.

No API donut or starburst. For a run of the mill 5w30, this is suspect.

Thats where HTFS comes into play to determine thickness.

This isn’t necessarily true. It has a low viscosity at 100c, but if you go by the HTFS values it’s much thicker. The same also goes for other euro 0w20s.

I’ve used it. It’s green 🙂 Unfortunately not API licensed for those who care about that, but it’s a very capable oil. FWIW, it’s been discussed on here quite a bit.

My favorite road name was somewhere in a rural area of MI called "Unnamed Road #2" or something like that. It ran along rail road tracks and had houses on it. Can't remember where it was exactly.

It almost certainly won’t be. As I posted, my stuff was only 2 months old and still had the old labeling and logo. I’d keep it either way.

Just got my 5qt 3-pack boxes of EP 0w-20 from Amazon. They are indeed the “old” 20,000 mile version with the old Castrol logo. What’s interesting though is that all the bottles are dated 24331. Judging from other Castrol bottles I’ve seen, this means the 331st day of 2024, or late November...
