I found the Rain Soft sales approach too pushy for my tastes. I did some reasearch and found that there were some other systems out there that were as effective and cheaper than Rain Soft.

It's not like you are neglecting the car. You are simply going from one acceptable oil to another acceptable oil. The two door GP isn't exactly a car with easy access to a back seat. A sedan is a much smarter solution than keeping that car around.

On my 98 Grand Prix with the N/A 3.8L, the OLM would reach 0 in about 6,000 miles. In our 04 Envoy with the I6, it takes about 12,000 miles or so. A UOA with M1 (SL stuff) came back with a nice report.

My MS6 is a late build, May 06, so it seems to have escaped the few issues with the other cars.

Look into a microfiber-specific detergent like Micro-Restore or MicroPak (from PakShak) to wash them. Many regular laundry soaps contain fabric softeners, bleach or other things that can hurt the efficiency of the towels.

Back home in Upstate NY, they've converted a lot of the old rail and trolley right of ways to hike and bike trails. Those are always a fun and pretty ride.
