My first UOA for this bike: 2016 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited FLHTK. I'm the second owner. Purchased May 2018 from original owner with 1024 miles on odometer. My first two oil changes I used Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 fully synthetic. Decided I was going to go Spectro Golden 20W-50 semi synthetic...

    2020 Sportster lineup reduced

I'm sure Harley Davidson is aware what models are moving, and ones that are not. I was also surprised when I saw only 4 Sportster model's for 2020. Guessing lower priced bikes doesn't always mean higher sales. In a couple more years they'll be dropping other newer released models and bringing...

Repair the tire, or keep driving?

Plug and patch it. This combination will last the life expectancy of your tire. Had same thing happen with new Michelins with under 3,000 miles on them. The plug/patch lasted another 60,000 miles trouble free.

Ariens 24" Compact Snowblower Oil changes

I bought new in July 2018 an Ariens 24" Compact Model 920027 223CC Two Stage Snowblower. It came with a Service Manual, but no Engine Manual. I downloaded the Engine Manual since I was interested in oil change intervals. Engine Manual stated if run UNDER 40hrs per year to change oil within 1...

    Alternative oil filters

Unless you can find and verify a correct alternative oil filter, I'd fall on the sword and pay the $40 for an OEM BMW filter. BMW's are not cheap! I'm not familiar with BMW service intervals, but you mentioned in original post it's due for it's 12 month servicing. If you only change the oil once...

Motorcycle: $290 nail finds new home

Arrived home from work Monday evening and noticed a shiny rock in rear wheel (I thought) once bike was in garage. Tried to flick it out with a key, no dice. Grabbed a pair of needle nose pliers and pulled it out then loud hissing sound. Yep, a nail. Wonderful since bike (2016 Harley Davidson...

    change once a year regimen

I usually ride in a season (April thru October) between 3,000 to 6,000 miles the last 11 years. That's daily riding to that one vacation ride. I faithfully change my engine oil & filter no longer than 5,000 miles as recommended by the manufacture (Harley-Davidson). 2018 when I returned home mid...

    Iron Butt Rally 2019

I've ridden some 600-700 mile days going cross country over the years, but never even considered an Iron Butt ride. Especially the 11 day rally. Not my thing. But wish the best for those 100 souls who will try.........

New Super Cub - how long before road trip?

What does your Honda Owners Manual say pertaining to proper break in procedure? I'd go by their recommendation. I believe they know a thing or two about your single cylinder 125cc air cooled engine. I've always followed the manufactures break in procedures over the years with any bike (or...
