OK heres the deal. 01 jetta 1.8t. The "BRAKE" light on the dash is lit up and sounding a buzzer constantly when i drive like the hand brake is on. I checked the handbrake switch and the low brake fluid switch in the master cylinder and they are both functioning correctly. I have been told that...

Delvac 1300 in a turbo Suby?

Yea I usually use T6 I was just looking at some others because I just get to bored easily I guess. The only VOA I found on it had a ton of calcium and a lot of zinc so I figured it would be good for cleanliness and wear. BTW I meant for this to be in the other PCMO section sorry

Delvac 1300 in a turbo Suby?

I had PU in my Subaru but had to drain the oil prematurely when my upgraded oil pickup arrived. I have seen a few UOA's on the delvac and it looks stout. Any opinions on using it in the turbo Suby. I dont really drive it that hard just a few WOT runs occasionally. Im sure some will say it will...

Best Additive to reduce oil consumption?

I for one would'nt ruin a good oil with Lucas unless its noisy and you want to sell it fast. Especially since the extra thickness obviously isnt helping consumption.

OK to drive without hoses? Pics Included

Thats funny I just replaced the lower pcv hose on my girlfriends' jetta today. Its part of the pcv system. I would wrap it until the hoses get there. Chances are if the upper one is that bad the lower one is too. Follow the one that goes downward and check it out. I replaced hers with this one.

How to properly gauge drag with a feeler gauge?

    93' Nissan 240sx recommendations

I would just use a cheap dino for break in. I miss my 240's. I had a few but I did SR swaps on them. It is a very fun car with decent suspension mods. A good set of coilovers and some swaybars will take care of that s13 understeer.

    RPM Fluctuating on STi

I cleaned the maf. No good still pulses. I dont think the tune would have any thing to do with it, it has had the tune since 2006 and this problem just popped up in the last month. I have been told to replace the fuel pressure regulator and/or the front and rear O2 sensors.
