    Foam Cannons

It does require more worse simply because you have to use it with a pressure washer. You can try the ones that attach to the hose pipe but those don't produce the foam that most people are looking for. I typically use my foam cannon when I am wanting to do a deep clean on the car. But, if you...

    Foam Cannons

I am not sure what you mean by “gimmick”? It sprays a dirty car with soap. Yes it works. Does it require more energy? Yes. But if you are into car detailing, then it probably will be something you like. If you like the old ‘1-bucket system with dawn dish detergent’ then I’d say it might not be...

    No More M1 0W40 @ WM?

The new ‘SP’ rated oils are coming out to replace the previous rated oils. So a the ‘updated’ 0w40 should be on the shelves soon. I put it in quotation marks because I don’t believe the oil is much different, just has a never certification.

    No More M1 0W40 @ WM?

Just got some M1 0W-40 this afternoon. There was about 3 on the shelf, the entire M1 section looked a little low. That might be the reason for the 'roll-back', clearinghouse on the old stock, and getting the updated oil on the shelf.

What are safe oil temperatures during spirited driving?

I have a VQ35DE as well, I am running 5k OCI with Castrol 0w40, but I am probably switching to Mobil 0w40 next oil change for the rebates. I like the Castrol but I don't think the VQ will notice. With the XP filter are you running it 2 OCI? Do you have the Maxima, G35, or 350z? I notice you said...

Michelin Pilots Peeling Tread at 25K

Wait... the tires are SIX years old? Typical tires need to be replaced every 3-4 years simply due to mileage. I understand you don't drive that much, but you can't cheat time. Six years are a long time for rubber, everything starts breaking down eventually. At least you noticed it and didn't end...

    PUP 5w20 vs 5w30

See, I agree with that. But, if PP and PUP are the same price or maybe ~$1-2, then I would go with PUP. That is why I try to keep up with prices on them.

    PUP 5w20 vs 5w30

See, I thought they were the same price. I found it odd, but I have been running clearance oil and haven't checked on the price in about 6 months.

    PUP 5w20 vs 5w30

I have noticed online that the PUP 5w30 ($36.xx) is $12 more than 5w20 ($24.xx). Is this always the case? If so, is the 5w30 a better quality base, or does it just not sell enough? LINK: https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=pennzoil%20ultra%20platinum%205w30&typeahead=pennzoil%20ultra%20...

Those actually look almost identical to the OE wheels. Thank you!

Tire recommendations for 2015 BMW X5

It is the 5 seater, I will have check to make sure they have the spare compartment in the rear, I honestly hadn't thought of that. I have never had a car that ran RFT but I have always heard most people tend to not like them.

Tire recommendations for 2015 BMW X5

I have driven the car a couple of times and it is a GREAT SUV, it is night and day compared to my Santa Fe that I own. I was actually kind of getting the itch to get one until I caught wind of the tire fiasco. My relative doesnt drive the car hard at all, but myself? Let's just say I like to...

Tire recommendations for 2015 BMW X5

I will let them know of this option. Do you know where a set of 19" wheels could be purchased that look OEM? Also, the fenders are wide plus they have the extra plastic lip (much like the new mustangs and corvettes) if you know what I am talking about?

Havoline ProDS Smart Change 5W-30 - Having trouble sourcing

I used one for a classmate's oil change a few months ago. If I wasn't getting Kirkland so cheap, I would use that in all my cars.

    Credit card question

Personally, I don't keep a running balance on credit cards. Is there any way you could pay off the smallest one and then work on the second smallest one and do the snowball method? That way you don't have to clean house on your savings account, but you also don't have debt hanging over your head...

Kirkland 5W30 runs rougher in Xterra?

The only suitable solution is to drain the oil, once you have it drained, I will allow you to ship it to me for disposal and I will run it for a FULL OCI and see if it makes any difference in my engine. Does anyone else have a better idea? ;) (Side note: I am running the 0w-20 in my honda right now)

That sounds like what is going to be the most reasonable route. If that doesn't work, then they will just have to stay the course.

Tire recommendations for 2015 BMW X5

I have lived in the south my entire life, and the only people I know who run summer tires are people who drive sports cars. 90% of drivers run an all-season year around. We don't typically get snow, but it does get cold and you don't want to run summer tires in January/February. and I am...

Tire recommendations for 2015 BMW X5

I agree. I don't think changing wheel (rim) size is going to be an option for my family member, the main thing being discussed changing is the tire brand and tire width.

My apologies, it is an xDrive35I, NOT an iDrive35I. The tech did not elaborate much on it, just stated that they could run a square setup. I don't believe there was much discussion on it since the current tires still had life on them, it was something that was mentioned as an option. The car...
