Yikes... someone might have switched the filters on you. Was your box sealed when you bought it? I had a sticker seal on mine plus my filter was wrapped in plastic.

If you have a Costco membership, than kirklands signature oil and a Purolator Pureone oil filter. 10 qts and 10k mile oil filter. It has never done me wrong.

I read somewhere that the OEM Nissan filter come pre-oiled as well. I’ll have to look into that if it’s true or not.

This filter replaced a K&N filter, which had been on there for who knows how long (I bought the car with it installed) and it has experienced no issues. But, I will keep an eye on this one and see how it does.
