Have your friend call Mobil or Mazda corporate. They will straighten it out.

I was dissapointed in the performance of the Lucas synthetic blend and synthetic motorcycle oil in this report http://www.amsoil.com/lit/g2156.pdf . I expected them to do much better. I would expect their car oils to be similar in performance.

Last I heard, Shell, Pennzoil and QS were all losing market share after Shell bought P & QS. Amsoil is gaining market share. Hmmm....

The Amsoil site lists Pennzoil Platinum 10W30 tested at 10.16.

Cant' find any TBN data on Pennzoils web sites.

All of the Amsoil XL's (5W20, 5W30, 10W30, 10W40) have listed typical TBN's of 9.0.

Good question. I used it in my 1997 103,000 mile Chevy Venture a few thousand miles ago. Hasn't caused a problem yet. I replaced my fuel filter once before the addition at 100,000 total miles. I also tried it in my 1993 motorhome with 53,000 miles several tanks ago. No fuel filter problems yet...

Similar, but not the same. Pennzoil warranties for 4,000 miles/4 months. Amsoil warranties for 7500 miles/6 months or longer if stated by your OLM or owners manual. Pennzoil Platinum occassionally goes on sale for a few bucks a quart, give rebates, etc.
