    Storage of compressed gas bottles?

Got myself a 60cuft nitrogen bottle and a regulator for a mini split install I am doing...I doubt I'm going to use anywhere near the full bottle's worth of nitrogen. I was debating just selling it once I am done with it, but the prices of these things seem to be going way up, and it may be worth...

HVAC vacuum pump for Mini Split?

How can I check how low it will pull? Also I just scored big on Craigslist - picked up a nitrogen tank and TurboTorch regulator for $65! The regulator and tank look almost new!! Super excited that I can now properly pressure test and triple evacuate the system when I’m ready.

HVAC vacuum pump for Mini Split?

I bought the CPS VG200 micron gauge - now is what to use for a vacuum pump. I'm leaning towards the 3cfm Harbor Freight to try and save a few dollars, and if it doesn't perform well enough, my micron gauge will tell me. I have time on my side so I can let it run for a long time. Now the other...

HVAC vacuum pump for Mini Split?

Anybody recommend a reasonable vacuum pump for a mini split install? I have a super old abused HF pump that’s well over 10-years old and I think it’s best I retire it and get something new for a mini split install I’m doing - really want to be sure I can pull around 200-300 microns. Any...

Does this sound like a bad tire?

Well I did manage to just go for a quick drive and it seems like it moved to the rear right. Need more driving to confirm, but if thats the case and I can confirm it definitely moved, I figure I should just go back to costco who was the dealer and ask them to replace that tire under warranty...

Does this sound like a bad tire?

Getting back on this after being sick for the last few weeks. I rotated all the wheels X pattern today to see if I can notice any difference. Have a longer drive tomorrow to get a good idea if the noise moves at all. I did spot though, all the wheel weights are ~1-3 per wheel, this particular...

    Freight shipment Q

I am looking for a set of seats on eBay… I do not have anywhere with a commercial dock and some don’t offer residential delivery. How would I/can I request shipment to a local terminal by me and I go pick it up from there? Are there any other options? Never used freight before really so I just...

    Is this dry rot concerning?

I'm very particular with tires -- I'd feel fine with those for a little while longer with monthly monitoring. Most of that is just surface. I cannot see that as a blowout potential. Get another year or 10k out of them then plan replacement, but monitor closely. Any measurable air loss over the...

Does this sound like a bad tire?

thanks - sounds like best approach is continue to rotate the wheels and get a confirmed problem wheel and go from there. I'll give that a try.

Does this sound like a bad tire?

Summary: -Audi Q5 ran over a pipe in the freeway. -NO ISSUES for 2-months. Wife never mentioned it to me, I drove the car, never noticed. -Saw a sidewall bubble 2 months later, tires were worn anyway, THATS when I found out about the incident. -Replaced the tires with new Michelin's at Costco...

ZF Lifeguard 9 compatibility with transmissions that use ZF Lifeguard 8 or Mopar 8&9

I am about to do a ZF fluid change. FCP Euro sent me the”new” version. If I end up with some leftovers I am happy to send in a fluid test for the virgin sample. Might take me a few weeks to get around to doing the ATF change though.

Quickjack new owner - any tips?

Can’t ever get on board with those valves. One failure whether it’s impact from road debris or something else and your engine is done.

Farpoint Farms : Alignment at home with this product

Have a different brand but same idea. The ONLY thing you should be using those for is after a suspension job getting the toe set so front wheels are perpendicular to each other to get you to the alignment shop without scrubbing your tires up. Let the shop get the thrust angle correct which is...

    Best Trans/Diff fluid filler pump/tool?

No dipstick tube on euro cars for the last decade…those days are over! No choice but to pump it from below now.

    Best Trans/Diff fluid filler pump/tool?

I was looking at the 1745 since its only $9 more and then I wouldnt need to stop midway through and refill with more ATF fluid. $89 for a long-term tool isn't a big deal to me. Those hand pumps take absolutely forever to put 5-8QT of ATF back in, hence why I am looking for pressurized.

    Best Trans/Diff fluid filler pump/tool?

those pumps are utter garbage and the worst to clean up. I'm talking about a real pressurized fluid transfer pump. A real pump also has the fill pipes that keep your hands away from the hot exhaust. Those ones above would be a nightmare.

ZF Lifeguard 9 compatibility with transmissions that use ZF Lifeguard 8 or Mopar 8&9

Great I should have scrolled back up! Please update us all when/if they give any information here. It would be interesting to hear if its just a supplier swap and they decided to separate the part codes for data/warranty/other to make it easier, or if there was an issue getting certain additive...

ZF Lifeguard 9 compatibility with transmissions that use ZF Lifeguard 8 or Mopar 8&9

I believe the OE fluids are LG8 just branded with their logos. should be the exact same fluid. Demand is just a guess though. I wonder if the OP in this thread who already had an email contact would be willing to ask them what changed in the formulation so we can have a definitive answer rather...

    Best Trans/Diff fluid filler pump/tool?

I am considering the Mityvac Powerfill Pro 2.5g, but I wanted to see if there was anything else out there that you guys recommend? My Primary use for it will be filling transmissions and differentials. My only concern with the Powerfill Pro is that it does not come with any adapters for...

ZF8 tool to remove more fluid?

You mean its a CTA patented tool, and someone in china knocked it off and is selling it for cheaper now. This is the life of things from china.
