Got it - the electrician (licensed) when he installed the subpanel told me I could do it that way…guess that’s false. It’s not wired in so I could knock out one of the tops and go back through the drywall that way? Would that be a better approach?

The real question - since QS Euro can be had for $23/5QT whereas PPE costs about $46/5qt in the US…about double the price, is there any real benefit? Say for a high performance vehicle? Daily haulers, probably not worth it and a shorter interval may be more beneficial.

Well I still have the factory plugs and it doesn’t even have a gasket on either the fill or drain plugs, so there would be no evidence it’s ever been changed if it fails. I’d rather change it than assume it’s going to fail within the warranty period.

It’s still under warranty for another 14 months so I guess if I have any signs I’ll send it back to the dealer and keep the chunk that came out.

There was a minimal amount of copper flakes, nothing out of the norm of what I expect to find in the pan on a normal fluid change. Fluid was pretty clean overall. Just that chunk that I wasn’t expecting! You guys think I change the fluid again in another 10k miles and make sure it looks ok?

Purchased a gallon size Lucas upper cylinder injector cleaner....the price per 4oz is super cheap. Any thoughts on running 4oz every tank (or at least most or >50% of the time)? Any downsides? The gallon size container for me would last years...so the $/fill up is silly cheap.

Every time I look on amazon the 5 quart jugs are out of stock. never seen them in stock, let alone on sale.
