The continuation of being dumped on in Restaurants needs to end.

I've eaten there a number of times, but many years ago. Great Italian food. It's in an area heavily populated by people of Italian origin called The Hill."

Post your HOA horror stories here

Yes they are terrible. They only let me keep four cars or trucks in my driveway.

Post your HOA horror stories here

It's tough living in a community with an HOA. The 1/2 acre manicured lawns are a bit cramped and the 30 minute boat run to the Gulf of Mexico does limit our access to loads of Red Snapper and Grouper.

Post your HOA horror stories here

I've lived in several communities with HOA's. Golf course, waterfront, mountain side, and such. Very nice places to live. It seems for the most part that those who hate HOA's are the reason HOA's exist.

Catastrophic engine failure - share your stories

You're right! I have disliked Volkswagons ever since. They were both terrible cars. No heaters, no a/c, poor ventilation, leaked water through the so called air vents. UGH!

Catastrophic engine failure - share your stories

I've been driving for 60 years. I've only had the engines blow on two cars back in the 1960's. One was a 1962 Volkswagon beetle and the other was a 1968 square back. Both bought new; less than 80,000 miles on the odometer at the time of the disaster.

Wish Repair Shops Would Listen Better

Repair shops are covered up with people who can't repair their own vehicles, yet tell them how to do the repairs and service. I imagine they get to where they ignore the customer B.S.. The shops probably don't want to argue with these customers and establish paper trails to document discussions...

Toys you had as a kid and that you kept

I didn't have many toys growing up. I spent a lot of time on my grandparents farm. I got a pair of gloves, a straw hat and a Barlow pocket knife about once a year. I loved pocket knives and have given them to my grandchildren. I do still have my boy scout hatchet, which I won selling peanut...

What is the worst car you ever owned?

1968 Volkswagen square back. No heat, no a/c, inadequate ventalation. When driven in the rain, water would pour in under the instrument panel and flood the floor. Windows constantly fogged up. No power. Engine blew up at 80,000 miles.

recent weed eater buyers-- i need one

I bought a Stihl FS131R April of last year. Use it year round to trim about 1 1/2 acres with 1/4 mile roadway, some ditches and waters edge. It's a 4 stroke but you have to add oil to the gas. It has a lot of power and does a good job of knocking down the reeds and tall grass. A bit on the heavy...

Son just got license, Wow! $1300 a year insurance increase, liability only...

Just think, about 20 percent of all drivers have no insurance at all. About 16 percent have no drivers license. So you pull up to a red light and there are 10 cars there; chances are 2 drivers have no insurance and 2 have no drivers license. It's out of control and guess who's paying for it?
