    Foam cannon recommendations please

Use a cheapie and it works great. Trick is the soap and how you fill it. I use Meguire's Hyper Wash (D110). Fill the foam lance first with hot water then put in about a shot glass worth of soap. Creates great foam.

Transfluid change on JL Wrangler with ZF8

Using the ATF 8? I noticed the Lifeguard is out of stock and FCP euro takes you to the ATF8: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/lifeguard-8-automatic-transmission-fluid-1-liter-s67109031201

Transfluid change on JL Wrangler with ZF8

Just about to hit 64k miles so wanted to do a trans fluid change on this one soon. Called a local shop that specializes in euro vehicles and modification, they quoted $600, which seems overall fair to me. ($250 labor, $350 in parts). They are using the Pentosin ATF8 and OE filter and OE pan...

    Took the Jeep to Moab!

Thanks everyone! A stock XJ would be fine on Fins. I scrapped the rear bumper pretty good, but probably picked a bad line. Didn't touch the rock rails.

    Took the Jeep to Moab!

Took my first trip to Moab a couple weeks ago and it was a dream trip. Hired Robert Mick from Dan Mick's Jeep Tours to guide me on Fins and that was a great experience in itself, since he was there from the start of wheeling in Moab. Learned so much. Ran the north loop with him, and then ran the...

    Online quotes on your vehicle

I used carvana as a baseline when I traded in my Rene, but the Jeep dealer I was buying the JL from gave me about a grand more than carvana. It does seem like dealers in general have no shortage of used vehicles, at least around here.

    $41K for a 2 door Wrangler Sport

210k on my LR3, never left me stranded. Same with my 05 Liberty with 223k, never left me stranded. Both have taken me off roading in places across the country in complete comfort and confidence. It's why I kept them when I "upgraded" to a 17 Disco and an 18 JLU Sahara. The people that hate on...

Replaced bilstein with fox after 25,000 miles, f150

Never been a huge Bilstein fan. They always end up leaking and clunking for me, on the rear of my Liberty I couldn't get more than 20k out of a set before they'd be trashed so finally put Old Man Emu stuff in and those have been fine for 75k. Can get about 60-70k out of the front shocks before...

    Rebuilt titles

If you want to save some $ and have a little bit of appetite for risk, lemon lawed vehicles are decent way to get something pretty new at a steep discount, with the issues usually being fixed (in both my cases, it was). Resale will be significantly lower though.

    Pulling Service History from Dealer?

This is what I got from the servicing dealer too. Records on CarFax were detailed enough, but wanted to confirm if it had had a tranny service done and they said no, since it's "lifetime" told them ZF disagrees but thanks for confirming it hasn't been done. Fun trick - to get service records...

    Pulling Service History from Dealer?

Called my local dealer and they said it'd only be warranty, and they couldn't give me any of it, just could read it off to me. I think I might try the dealer that serviced it, just wish I would've saved the carfax!

    Pulling Service History from Dealer?

On the Jeep JL I just bought a few weeks ago, the CarFax showed excellent service history at some Jeep dealer in Michigan. Could I go to any Jeep dealer with the VIN and have them pull the specific invoices for what was done at each visit? CarFax wasn't overly specific. Or do I need to ask that...

New tires on both Jeeps - Toyo Open Country AT3

Yep! I love that they are on the back, best place for a spare IMO.

New tires on both Jeeps - Toyo Open Country AT3

Thanks! The Liberty ones have white letters on the inside, wanted them that way since white letters smear bad when playing in the rocks. Need a matching spare for the 4WD to be happy and shift smoothly, plus good to have for off roading.

New tires on both Jeeps - Toyo Open Country AT3

Thanks! They looked practically new. I'd say they still had at least another 40k left.

Synthetic vs Dino in diffs: myth or not

In my Liberty, I've always ran Dino in the diffs. Was told on the Jeep forums (and read it on a few of the high end axle builder's sites) that Dino sticks to the gears better and therefore dissipates heat better than synthetic. The liberty has 222k miles on it on the factory axles running 85w140...

New tires on both Jeeps - Toyo Open Country AT3

I had these on my 19 Renegade that I recently traded it for about 20k miles and loved them in all conditions. Needed tires on the Liberty and Wrangler, and Blain's Farm and Fleet was having a buy 3 get 1 free sale. Ended up getting 10 tires OTD (tax, mounted, balanced) for $2100. Don't think...

    M1 0W30 ESP in 3.6 Pentastar?

My Renegade had the 1.3L Turbo, not the 2.4...never had oil burning issues with mine. Have you had the recall yet on hers for the oil burning? Basically it's programmed to pull too much vacuum and it sucks the oil out. The fix works for quite a few people!
