use any good name brand oil that offer their upper tier (Extended,Ultra,Ultimate etc ) line and change out at 5k and you should have no problems whatsoever, in at least the viscosity and API & ILSAC ,license,approvals etc , spec needed , or a bit higher viscosity that the car...

actually, for a Mobil 1 oil, its pretty good, the 0w-30 meets all the specs needed ,and liking the start up protection along with a 30w .nice replacement for a 0w-20 oil only a bit thicker.

Mobil 1 SUV is a good oil, does not seem anything special,there are other oils that are as good or better.

0w-40 Royal Purple in my Generac generator,works just fine.

just stay with a API engine oil,5w-30, as Valvoline EP or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum keeping it changed at 5k and good filter.

just to compare I use Pennzoil Ultra Platinium,5w-30,SP,GF-6A , the HTHS is un-published, the ccs is 4000 at -30 astm 5393,,the mrv is 10,200 plus the pour point is -48 c,,,I would suspect the HTHS is around 3.0 ???,,looks like the PUP maybe a better flowing oil at low temps and pump up...

a euro oil has a higher HTHS mostly because of a more higher viscosity base oil and additive pac but still with in the j-300 chart.as far as I can tell.

hths oils are usually thicker at the 40cst and 100cst viscosity's is what I see (ASTM-D-5293) , separate of PP,the cold cranking (ccs) is resistance of the starting torque, the lower the number ,the better, per given viscosity per j-300 chart, and the mrv is cold flow at a certain...

for a cold starting you should concerned about the CCS and the MRV (depending on viscosity range if the oil) ratings of the oil, as a certain amount of wear does occur at starting times, the pour point only just tells you that and is not directly related to pump and flow with in the cold...

the best parts store experience I have is when you go up to the counter and tell them what you need and the year/make/model of car you want the part for, then they ask you at least a half dozen times walking around in a daze what year etc is the part for ,like it does not mentally...

actually, Citgo synthetic is not really a bad oil at all.

if looking for a longer oci Amsoil ss 5w-30 will serve you well.

I too called Shell about their pds/sds links and told them about this issue, and they apparently did not know about this or the guy on the phone was just acting dumb about it.

Royal Purple HPS 10w-40 HTHS,4.4 , or Torco SR-5 ,5w-40 would be fine choices.

nice you mentioned Torco,they often are not as popular, but they produce a excellent engine oil among other products made.
