    Favorite fruits/vegetables during summer time....

I’m growing 3k stalks of corn right now which is a summer favorite of ours. Most well give away. Yellow squash, kale, broccoli, cabbage and of course green beans are at the top of my list. No tomatoes here, we live in North Dakota and by the time they mature it’s almost time for our first frost...

    Motor Oil Prices!

I paid $24 for a gallon of Mobil ep 5w-30 yesterday, it was only $2 more than ST so a no brainer. Last week I bought 6 quarts of quakerstate full synthetic for around $20 on sale at Menards. If I see a good deal I buy and shoot for at least an extra years supply, I think I have 10 gallons plus...

Not trolling, but all things being equal, why not just use SuperTech for everything?

Years ago I bought my kids a used 2002ish Toyota Corolla cheap with less than 100k miles on it, long story short I maintained it with super tech fluids including their transmission fluid and synthetic engine oil and shot for 4K mile oil changes. That car ran like a top until one of my sons had a...

    2005 LT 4x4 suburban towing experience/advice/thoughts?

I had a 2008 z-71 sub back in 2008 . I pulled all sorts of crazy stuff with it and it was fine. I even pulled a combine with it once lol. We used the weight distributing hitch with our 30’ TT , makes a big difference.

    Feeling satisfaction from DIY

I just built a custom interior barn door set up since there was nothing out there commercially that would fit my doorway (1880 built house). It makes me happy every time I look at it , lol, but it turned out really well. I’m always working on this old house and it’s a pain but My wife and I...

E85 / E15 - Saw Something New To Me Today

Wow, if my trucks had been that efficient at that price point I’d use it too. My new silverado is not rated for e-85 unfortunately and the manual specifically warns against using it. It stinks that in 2022 not all vehicles are made to run it.

    Which Premium Oil To Offer?

Amsoil doesn’t have any Dexos certifications, many new cars regardless of brand require a dexos cert. it’s the only reason I choose mobil1 over amsoil for my (under warranty) cars. As a business Mobil 1 have much better name recognition as well.

E85 / E15 - Saw Something New To Me Today

We don’t have e-15 or at least it’s rare here so have no experience with it but e-85 was 20-30% less efficient in my Tahoe and suburban, they are older though. As in 2008/2011, maybe it’s better now. E-85 is cheaper but not that much. I wish they had pursued alcohol as fuel Vs electric, I think...

E85 / E15 - Saw Something New To Me Today

Up here in North Dakota, every station has ethanol free gas but your gonna pay for it. I tried e-85 and it was so inefficient it just wasn’t worth it and this was in a flex fuel vehicle. I use e-free gas in my boat, motorcycles and generators when I can help it. I’ve had some pretty serious...

    Post your latest oil change

2014 Acura MDX, supertech mp filter and ST 0w-20 full synthetic 10k oil. 2018 Chevy trax, ac delco filter and ST 5w-30 full synthetic 10k oil. Saved almost $100 changing the oil myself and know it’s done right.

    An argument for 5k OCI

You guys probably won’t all believe this but it did happen. I bought my daughter a 2002 Corolla it had almost 100k on it. The ball joints were shot, struts were shot and tie rods were shot. It also used oil. I got the car very cheap because of this, I spent $400 and replaced all the...

I'm DONE with "premium" oil filters

Yup, I sure wish we were moving in the other direction. I’m happy my supertech products are still made in the USA.

    2016 Trax, replaced valve cover.

We had the valve cover and the oil pan leak on our 2017 trax with a little over 60k miles on it. Chevy fixed it under warranty even though it was over the 60k factory warranty timeframe I think we paid $35 out of pocket. Other than that we have had no issues ( fingers crossed). I change the oil...

I'm DONE with "premium" oil filters

We have a 2003 Honda CR-V with 110k miles on it now. I have been using the same super tech synthetic oil in it and fram filters. When I went to check the valve clearance recently, there was pretty much zero varnish and absolutely no sludge In the engine. The cams looked great! I have switched to...

I'm DONE with "premium" oil filters

Everyone involved in the accident was fine thank goodness, the Corolla was crushed and sold for scrap metal unfortunately. It was a great car and had a good life I suppose lol. I agree regular service is key, I also believe more frequent oil changes with good synthetic oil are far more important...

I'm DONE with "premium" oil filters

My 2001 Corolla had nearly 300k miles on it when my son totaled it. It ran the last 200k miles on super tech ow-20 synthetic oil and the cheapest fram filter I could find. I changed the transmission fluid and filter too at 150k with super tech tranny fluid. Didn’t use any oil and that series was...
