Try bypassing the clutch safety switch and see if it cranks right away. A buddy had this happen on his '04 Tib and I fixed it with a new clutch safety switch.

There's a switch above the center screen to turn the Start/stop off. And yes, you have to choosw the driving mode each time you get in. However there are super simple fixes for both. I have a start stop eliminator which basically just remembers where you left the switch last. So you turn it off...

You don't say what vehicle you want to put the remote start on. But check out https://www.12volt.solutions/ I just put one of their No Honk systems in my 2018 F150. Super easy 5 minute install and it works great.

If you are looking at that Gen F150 try to find a 2014 you like. That was the last year for that gen and they had things worked out,.
