Definitely thermostat, or the system is otherwise blocked. If you had an air pocket coolant would still be circulating and all radiator hoses would be hot.

Make it a habit to change fluid and filter every 75k miles and sleep well at night.

100C is perfect. I wouldn't get worried unless you routinely see it climb over 130 or so.

3.8's aren't picky with oil (many run without any, somehow). Just about any good quality oil will do - dino or syn - and you can expect at least 200k from it if you do your maintenance. Somewhere around 80-100k you'll put in a lower intake gasket and a water pump, but that's about it. Mopar...

+1 to HLA noise. BP's really aren't all that picky on oil, the noisy HLA issue nonwithstanding. I've had the best luck in my 92k mile 96 with Mobil 1 0W-40. It keeps the HLAs quiet during track days and on the street. Works great here in WI. The car also liked Mobil 1 0W-30 AFE in the winter...

I'm wondering whether or not I should change the oil in my 2013 Triumph Bonneville before I put it away for the season. I'm running Amsoil 20W-50 motorcycle in it and have about 2000 miles on the oil, 5000 on the bike. The valves are supposed to be adjusted at 6000 so I'd like to wait until...

It should be a B6304S (Which was called B6294S in the US I believe). I had that motor in my 2000 S80 - great engine. It seemed to get the oil quite hot though. When I got it it had quite a lot of coked up deposits inside the valve cover (my father had it before me and ran dino on 4k mile OCIs)...

2007 was the first year the 3.7/4.7 family was spec'd for 5w20 even though it was the last year of the 1st generation engine. No internal changes were made, so you'd be fine with either oil. You mentioned that you keep a stock of 5W30 for your other vehicles, so go ahead and run it...with 111k...

No experience with Amsoil filters, but both the Wix XP and Puro Syn are great filters. Run either with confidence.

As long as clearance is adequate they are interchangable. The L10195 is identical to the L10241 that is spec'd except the filter element is a bit longer.

I changed the oil over the weekend with 15W40 Delo 400LE and a Puro Classic (L10028 if I remember right). Pressure actually went up - 45 psi at hot 1000 RPM idle, almost immediately hits the 65 psi relief. The old stuff smelled so badly of gas it probably thinned to a 30 weight >.< I also leaned...

Syntec MP No special affinity for it, but it seems to work well. Appears to be rather thin for a #2, at room temp anyway.
