    Horsepower, Protection, and New Technology

yup just be safe and find something with higher-than average acid neutralizers, to combat the acidity of the e85.

    Horsepower, Protection, and New Technology

I would stay away from anything over 2500 miles if you use straight e85 for fuel consistently when paired with ester-based top tier oils. Definitely get tests done to see where the TBN ends up. E85 is very hard on oil.

    Running e85?

ill look into the e85-specific motul oil, didnt know they carried one-thats awesome. ill be switching my fuel from e40 to regular 92e10 here shortly when i go big turbo, so i wont have to worry as much as i do now with the effects ethanol has on oil degradation. but as it stands now i have...

    Running e85?

hey so i have been wondering if using a group V oil like a redline, with an ester/pao base stock, should one be worried about fuel dilution runing e85? and is there a difference in running straight e85 versus an e blend like the aforementioned e40? i run e40 in my fiesta st, but some of my...

    1996 JDM Subaru GC8 EJ20G - Thoughts on Oil

Id get away from rotella and use a true synthetic like redline or motul. Amsoil and pennzoil also offer top-teir oils. I used to run rotella but wasnt satisfied with it in my ej's (20K, 206)

Oil and Fuel Recomendations for 2018 VW Golf R

I would choose a motul, mobil, redline, amsoil or pennzoil up euro 5-40 that falls within the specs your manufacturer calls for. Fuel wise id go with shell 92, time and time again it does extremely well and better than chevron 94. Its more stable.

Oil for new 18 Stinger GT

go with any oil that has a hths of 3.6 or higher... i recommend a 5w40 of pennzoil ultra plat, redline, motul as my top 3. you wont have problems with these oils and you can count on them to provide the lubricity required for your ttv6. enjoy the turbos!

02 stage 2+ wrx oil recommendations

Lots of scoobaru guys like rt6. I like it as well. Although i prefer an engine oil with a higher film strength than rt6's tested 60,XXX psi ish. I throw in an ester based Motul or Redline, and when i am feeling cheap i use PUP Euro Spec 5-40. Its going into a stage "2" ej20 300 ish hp.

    Aftermarket turbo BRZ oil recommedations

i recommend a medium grade viscosity with an awesome hths and film strength. Redline 5-30 is my recommendation to run. the 30 weight should be good for the clearances in the brz aka not too thick like that "redline 10w60" recommendation. and being that the oil is redline it will last long as...

Oil for Focus RS - Unusual Spec

Running a high-viscosity oil in my opinion usually means its ok to slack on the quality of the oil. Im not saying go buy some 2$ a quart oil but you dont need crazy protection that one might find in say Redline or Motul since your already seeking out a "higher than average" oil viscosity...

Thank- You for letting me join!! 2008 Zo6 Oil

Run a "thick" high film strength oil and good additive package. A 5/10-40 oil should suffice. Royal purple, Motul, Redline, Pennzoil Platinum. Rotella doesnt have a high film strength and i am not sure if that has anything to to do with it being a diesel/low rpm engine oil.
