ZF Lifeguard 9 compatibility with transmissions that use ZF Lifeguard 8 or Mopar 8&9

Right, no dipstick permanently attached, also known as a “sealed transmission”. Reading about the procedure, there is a “stick that dips” 😂 to measure fluid levels at specific temps. I think its 140mm length, not sure.

I found the leak. Check out the threads. I need to put this back until I can buy one. What do you recommend for that? Just tape it like crazy?

Well water pressure tank install help.

Looks like today is the day. The dripping is much worse. Test fit looks pretty good. Still trying to find something for that PVC barb at the end. Pipe dope or tape?

Well water pressure tank install help.

I purchased the identical v60 tank in a kit off Amazon so it would fit in the same position in the basement without running new pipes. I never liked the plastic elbow at the pump end. It looks like it’s flexing so I’m hoping to replace it with that brass NPT 1” elbow in the pic. It’s shorter, so...

Well water pressure tank install help.

The pressure tank tee for my house is failing. (Well water) The leak is getting bad and looks like it can’t wait till spring. I have not replaced one before. Have most of the parts already, just need help understanding how to remove the old tee. Assembling the new tee and parts I realized...

ZF Lifeguard 9 compatibility with transmissions that use ZF Lifeguard 8 or Mopar 8&9

I have the part numbers from the ZF email. Similar to what you have received. But it appears these shopping site configurators used on eBay, Amazon, etc. all I have tried disagree. They think the transmission fluid used in a Jeep Cherokee Limited with a 3.2 engine is different somehow. Wonder why..

    ZF Lifeguard 8 VOA

I emailed ZF regarding the new to me Cherokee with 9spd a 948TE. Asked about ATF options. A paste of the important info.: “The approved fluids for the ZF/Jeep 9 speed transmission are the OE Jeep fluid (68157995AB or 68218925AB) or ZF Lifeguard Fluid 9. .” Can someone tell me what the...

It’s only possible with a frame off restoration. Too many areas have poor access. There is also wax inside the box frame.

ZF 9 speed in a Acura

Pretty sure I have the same ZF9 in my 2019 Cherokee. The Haynes fluid change procedure has none of the relearn steps you talk about. Or is something missing from this video?

    Jeep Factory AGM batteries

Put the 1510 on about 3:30pm. The overnight resting voltage at the start was 12.4v. Not sure if this is good or bad.

New Hamp Oil Under on GM Wax Frame?

I would treat it. Aluminum corrodes. For different reasons. Not anodized, galvanic, unpainted. Oxidation from salt will do it. Not the same as rust but it will bubble paint. Its a big problem with Jeep/Chrysler. So bad there are lawsuits.

    Jeep Factory AGM batteries

Purchased a 2019 Cherokee limited 3.2 the other day. I joined a Jeep Cherokee forum to see what issues owners are having. Battery failures are high on the list. Just being low can cause various electrical issues including shifting!. The factory AGM batteries start failing frequently in the third...

New Hamp Oil Under on GM Wax Frame?

Nuxudol is compatible with GM frame wax. There are shops that spray noxudol wax. I think this one is near the OP’s location. https://apsrustandtint.com/

New Hamp Oil Under on GM Wax Frame?

Having use both for several years now.. if the vehicle is new/newer, a few winters old, with minor surface rust, go with wax. Much less maintenance and no gritty mess. If the vehicle is older and significantly rusting, go with the oil. Deeper penetration. Although wax spray works well with minor...
