Just had one here a few minutes ago. And there’s no cover the trees aren’t even out, so I don’t know where they’re hiding

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 VOA

I used it for the first time yesterday in a Jeep Cherokee 3.2. Reminded me of the first time I used Maxlife ATF… smells weird

Looks like my Hummingbirds have vamoosed.

I have been using the same design for the past 4 years. I think I got them off Amazon. Easy to fill. Easy to clean. Aerodynamic in the wind. And best of all they breathe. Feeders I’ve used in the past didn’t breathe so when it gets hot, they would leak. These are great. The hummingbirds like...

Is my HF 4 amp charger maintaining?

Searching posts it’s mentioned that the float for AGM should be +-13.6?

Is my HF 4 amp charger maintaining?

I switched the HF to standard mode on the Escalade. AGM on the KL Cherokee. The batteryminder is automatic so I’m not sure what it’s doing. The documentation says the batteryminder it’s not for AGM but turns out in the fine print it will work for some AGM types. I didn’t see any charging voltage...

Is my HF 4 amp charger maintaining?

Reading the replies I’m wondering if the HF is working normally for what it is, a charger/maintainer only. The 2006 Escalade is in long-term storage so I can test with that. I put the batteryminder 1510 back on the Escalade where it had been for 3 years. The good news is after being...

Is my HF 4 amp charger maintaining?

I have a 19 Cherokee it has been sitting for a few weeks so I put it on a barely used Harbor Freight 4 amp charger to top off the AGM battery. That seemed to go OK. The display showed the battery went from 12.1 to 14.5 for a while. Then dropped down to 12.9. The next day I went out to check on...

    Chevy 1.5T PCV system

@clinebarger I have a question. Is the fresh air for the PCV system sharing the same tube with hot blowby in certain conditions? Trying to figure out how to prevent moisture and ice buildup at the turbo and waste gate solenoid in cold weather.

LSJr. The TRUTH About Valvoline's BOLD Engine Cleaning Claims

Sorry for digressing this thread, but just the word manganese triggers me. I can’t imagine what purpose it would have in motor oil or in the engine. Chlorine oxidizes manganese, turning it into solid mass. Gritty abrasive chunks of black coal. If I was to drop a tab of chlorine down my well, I...

    2003 Chevy Cavalier PCV Explanation

The 2.2 engine uses an orifice PCV, a small pinhole located inside the intake manifold. I opened one up at 160K. The orifice was open and the intake valves were clean. This design worked until GM switched future engines like the 2.4 to DI. I don’t think it’s your problem because there is gas...

LSJr. The TRUTH About Valvoline's BOLD Engine Cleaning Claims

I’m moving, selling my house because my well is contaminated with manganese. I’m constantly bleaching the well, cleaning out screens in every bathroom, replacing washing machines. It’s a a constant battle removing black soot that looks like coal when it hardens. Not sure how that would get in an...

    2013 Equinox 2.4 PCV Frozen

The majority have the catch can connected to the fresh air PCV tube which is the only place to put it because the dirty side is inside the intake manifold ( unless you create a external dirty side like I did) They do that to catch the moisture caused by hot blow by going out the fresh air tube...

    2013 Equinox 2.4 PCV Frozen

IMO the root of the problems with the 2.4 is the switch to DI. The PCV orifice worked fine in the prior 2.2 which was MPFI. Without fuel wash to keep the intake manifold and ports clean the orifice will block over and over. And being an orifice, the flow of blowby can change direction depending...

    18V Ryobi Blowers

I purchased a 18V Ryobi leaf blower over the summer. First thing I noticed is the same 2ah battery that lasts forever using other Ryobi tools only last minutes with that blower. So I purchased some Chinese 8AH 18v batteries off eBay. Good price so I figured why not. The reason why I’m telling...

    Cavity wax spraying?

Once you use oil, you’re pretty much committed. You can’t use wax unless you remove all of the oil and grime. You could try woolwax. It’s actually not a wax. It’s an oil that’s thicker than fluid film. Doesn’t smell as much they say.
