    Southwest Airlines ditches open seating

One thing I can tell you is that Business Select is a ripoff. You get to be one of the first 10 people in line ( after all the old people and people with kids), there's no extra room in any seat, there's no extra leg room unless you are able to grab a front row or an exit row (there were so many...

Found a job- wish it paid better- Elk Reduction Worker

Interesting to watch the human race attempting to re-establish the ecological balance they ruined.

    Scrappers are resourceful

I live in a pretty good neighborhood, but if I need anything gone, all I have to do is sit it out by the curb. Normally doesn't last 12 hours. My dryer was gone before sundown a few Saturdays ago.

    Carbon Build-Up on exhaust tips

I used Mother's aluminum polish and a Scotchbrite sponge. Your results may vary.

Lets see most popular: Your (5) favorite autos of all time. Owned or coveted/wished your had at one time.

The separate garage I'd build on my property after winning the lottery would house & protect these. There will be others, but these comprise the base of my auto collection.

US NEWS Family of nine left behind in remote Alaska, charged $9K by Norwegian Cruise Lines

I've been on 2, probably won't be a 3rd. First mistake was doing them on Carnival. Yuck. First cruise, we booked a beach club excursion independently, and it was a very stressful ride back. The beach club was much further away from the port than I thought, and my mind raced, thinking of what...

Brake pedal goes to the floor intermittently

I can only say that I haven't had any problems with Duralast parts, but I've never used one of their master cylinders.

Brake pedal goes to the floor intermittently

Your master cylinder is bypassing. This happened to me when I was in college with my first car. Everything was fine, then it wasn't. If I applied firm quick pressure, it would stop fine, but if I use normal pressure that you would use in stop & go traffic, the pedal would go to the floor. So...

Went to the dark side - bought a Toyota

This is a problem across all brands. I had to call several GMC dealerships before I found one that would do a pan drop and filter replacement on my 2015 Canyon at 30K and 60K. I kept hearing "100,000 mi interval". Do they just lose sight of the fact that I'm paying them to do this? I get very...

I have an extractor that hooks to the air compressor and produces vacuum.

For those who over maintain their cars, just wanted to offer another viewpoint.

A friend told me years ago that all I'm accomplishing is making it a really nice car for the next owner(s). 😅 I don't think of it as over-maintenance when I remember that OEMS strive to offer a car that is economical to maintain (10K oil changes, lifetime factory filled transmissions, etc ), so...

My oil change set up with ramps

Those are really nice ramps. Pricey too. I've been using Rhino plastics for about 15 years, replaced my old ones 2 years ago. Never a problem, knock on wood. The new Forte poses an interesting problem with using ramps. For whatever reason, Hyundai decided that the drain plug now goes on the...

The same way low income people always manage to afford cigarettes.

One of my best friend's is an alcoholic - Any suggestions how I could help?

I learned the hard way a long time ago that the changes can only come from the addict. Most people I've known with this affliction have had to hit rock bottom and finally desire change in their life before they made any changes. No external forces can do that for them. I hate to tell you this...

    Refrigerator - Preventive Maintenance

I pull mine away from the wall, remove the cover panel, vacuum what I can get to, then blow everything else out with an air compressor. Makes a mess of the kitchen but it's gotta be done.

    Should I buy this oil?

Unless you're just wanting it for the large container convenience, you can get the oil a little cheaper at Walmart.

What's your preferred burger cooking method?

Always outside, on the grill or on the Blackstone griddle. I can't stand cooking hamburgers in the house. The smell lasts a week or more no matter how much I clean.

Name a car you will never buy again.

The most recent horrible experience I've had with a car was a 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5. I was rid of it by early 2004. Thankfully I was able to trade it in, instead of setting it on fire and driving it off a cliff. That experience, a lot of online horror stories, and the general direction they've...
