    Tyreek Hill detainment

It's been a good long while since I've been pulled over, but let me tell you how it went. I was on my way home from a night college class and had just passed somebody who was going unreasonably slow in a 45 mph zone. I made a right turn onto a 35 mph road and continued traveling at about 48 mph...

If that's the way you care to view it, then I guess one thug learned how not to treat the other thug.

It's extreme thinking like this that lands you on your stomach in cuffs.

    Tyreek Hill detainment

Let's put you in the position of the officer in this circumstance. How long are you willing to stand there and tell him to roll the window down? Not an inch, not 2 inches, but DOWN. In your opinion, how many requests does it take before it's appropriate to be removed from the car. I think...

    Tyreek Hill detainment

I think we should check to see if we're all watching the same video here. While YOU were watching the video, how many times did the cop tell him to roll that window down? I'm interested in having a view of what you're seeing. I'm seeing no compliance.

    Tyreek Hill detainment

Sometimes I watch these videos, which are all similar in theme, and can't help but feel that certain people act in a difficult, evasive, and rude manner just to be difficult and elicit a response, although it never seems to be the response they want. Or is it? 🤔. I don't know why it's so...

Oil filter now compromised? Rubber gasket popped off.

That's happened to me on about one out of every two Fram orange cans I've used. You're good.

I still don't get why wheels are so big and the profiles of the tires are so low. Old man yelling at cloud

Went and took a peek at this over the weekend as a replacement for my 2015 Canyon. I think GM has overdone the wheels on the Denali package. I like the stance overall, but the wheels make it look a bit like a Tonka truck. Dropping them to 19 or 18 in. would put it back into proportion, IMO. I...

    Nut sedge ?

I used Sedge Ender years ago in Texas, it killed that entire portion of my lawn. I'm not talking about just brown grass, I'm saying it reduced that entire section of my lawn to dirt. I hired a lawn company to abate the soil and put down new sod. Anymore, I just pull some of it every day until...

Third Tier Tires becoming increasingly popular

My sister has been a Michelin loyalist since she bought her 2001 Tacoma Pre Runner, which came with Michelins, and while that light little truck didn't wear out tires very quickly, she's learned now that she's driving a heavy SUV that Michelins are an expensive proposition. I think she switched...

First turbo vehicle for me....oil thoughts?

GM 2.4 comes to mind. I'd sooner buy a Hyundai.

Thoughts on using the "Car Handle" as entry/exit support?

I was thinking about ordering this one, but your suggestion does look better. Thanks for the post...

    Merv furnace filter ratings

My AC installer advised using the lowest Merv that isn't one of those tangled-up fiberglass looking ones. I believe mine are Merv 8. He warned anything higher is undue strain on the blower motor.

Thoughts on using the "Car Handle" as entry/exit support?

Hi everyone, my 90-year-old father needs all the help he can get getting in and out of my parents' 2018 Tucson. Right now he clamors for a grip on the a-pillar to get in and out. I'm not sure if this would actually be any help to him, but what I'd like to know is your opinion on whether the...

What are you doing right now?

Sagging door on the Shadow resolved today. Replaced the top pin and bushings, and wondering now if it's necessary to replace the bottom since the door is shutting normally and is aligned. If it needs to happen, it's going to have to be a different day, because it's hot out there today. 🥵

DIY auto repair means not having to deal with obnoxious auto repair shop prices

The right rear pads and rotor on my '99 Explorer would like to comment. 😅

    Home alarm system question

My alarm is cellular based, so it doesn't rely on Wi-Fi for anything. I have a motion sensor covering the area in the picture above, as well as the garage entrance at the side of the kitchen, and three Arlo cameras inside the house. Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll have him add glass...

    Home alarm system question

New South Windows and an adjacent back door. We keep our blinds closed after dark. Not a bad neighborhood, been here 14 years and never an incident or even a package theft. But it's when you're feeling all safe and confident that somebody rips the rug out from under you and takes everything...

    Ford-ditches-new-EV

Where my ears perked up: "Ford will now focus on developing ... more affordable models.". So two realizations in one, really. Electrics aren't lighting the world on fire (figuratively) like they bet so heavily on, and something about their sales numbers is forcing them to return to an...
