I was a victim of road rage

The number of mentally unstable people operating vehicles today is astounding. Add that to the people who just completely ignore the rules of the road, and you've got borderline anarchy.

Fell for the Old Used Oil in the New Jug....

Can't believe they didn't check under the cap before issuing the refund when that was first brought back to the store. But I'd bet money I could walk into my local Lowe's or Home Depot right now and find used spark plugs in packages hanging on the pegs. People are so low.

Spirit Airlines and JetBlue planes struck by gunfire in Haiti

As with some of the poor sectors of cities in the U.S., (Oakland, Chicago, etc.) they sometimes don't know what's good for them. They riot and burn their own neighborhoods and run businesses out, when they would have been better off lobbying for better conditions. Embargo, I say.

Four People Die Trapped in Burning Tesla

I don't really understand why door latches need to be actuator based. A friend of mine had a CTS that had a weird delay between when you pulled the door handle and when it actually unlatched. Isn't this just begging for a failure? Even though it's an electric car, I think they would have been...

Most unique restaurant concepts you've seen or dined? A baked potato restaurant opened up near me.

Definitely not representative of all areas, but I have noticed in the past 13 years that places that are very specialized don't survive.

When do you give up on gloves?

Word to the wise, I think I ruined an entire large box of nitrile gloves by storing them in the garage. The last one I tried to put on ripped at the cuff before I got it halfway on. The ones I do manage to get on tear at the first thing I touch. Lesson learned, they need to be stored inside the...

    Streaming service costs ratcheting upward...

The same thing happened years ago with FiOS TV until they finally reached my limit and I cut it all. I'll start cutting again if the streamers get crazy with the prices. Currently I'm on Prime, Netflix, and Paramount +. They should all tread carefully. I learned to live without 285 channels...

    Why change your own oil?

It's an opportunity to poke around and look for anything amiss....like the weeping transfer case input shaft seal on the Canyon that GM already replaced twice.

A Shift in the French Fry Market

I think it's a combination of price and flavor these days. Fries from McDonald's used to be the gold standard, now I don't even like them. It has everything to do with the oil they're cooking them in. If they want to see a return of their customer base, they should consider spending more on...

    2018 Ram 1500 5.7 Radiator Recommendation

I tried this and failed because my car is so old and obscure and has no aftermarket support, but if I were you and in the market for a radiator, I would look for a seller that sells all-aluminum radiators that fit your application. Most of the stuff you're looking at on RockAuto comes out of...

How can you possibly trust your tire gauge?

I keep pencil gauges around as a last resort. I found two identical brands, purchased at different times that read differently, so I don't count on them at all. But I've had a couple of digitals go crazy on me too and I ended up with four over-inflated tires. I have a dial gauge in my drawer...

    Ford / GM 10R80

So I can expect a recurrence of this until I get the drum replaced?

More scary tires. This time on a newer AMG C63.

See it all the time at intersections. Luxury SUVs with tires down past the wear bars. It's a little harder to see the sedan tires unless I get them at the right angle.

    Ford / GM 10R80

I'll start out by saying I'm a little disappointed that Ford hasn't done more for their customers considering the widespread nature of the issues with the 10r80. In my opinion, the TSB fix for these transmissions should be free, regardless of your warranty status. I've personally owned three...

Ford recalling 550,000 pickup trucks; transmission issues

Just signed off on a valve body replacement on my 2018 Mustang, with 17,000 miles on it. Done with Ford when this one is gone.

Had someone brake check me while on the bicycle this afternoon.

I think cyclists need to decide if that's the hill they want to die on. Yes, the laws are written in your favor, but how often do the laws prevent mistakes, or dangerous moves made by an emotional person? The law takes action AFTER the incident, so....is it worth life and limb to be right...

Cashiers/Monitors at Self Checkouts in Grocery Stores.

I thought Walmart had just turned off the scales a couple years ago because I suddenly stopped having all these problems with items not weighing correctly. But over the weekend I bought just a few small items, hit the pay button and then sat my empty hand basket on the scale and it went haywire...
