VW MK7 wagon oil/OCI poll from FB

They also kind of quietly own a subsidiary company called Meguin here in Europe which are for the most part rebranded LM at a cheaper price. Like Meguin Super Leichtlauf 5w40 , rebranded Synthoil but 20€ less expensive for a five liter bottle.

VW MK7 wagon oil/OCI poll from FB

Most of LM oils are perfectly good oils if not all but not amazing in general, with the exception of their top of the line Synthoil oils that come in purple bottles, those are PAO based and have very nice add packs, not sure if they are sold in the US, But again they are even more expensive...

    Valvoline maxlife synthetic blend

I've only used 10w40 Syn Blend Maxlife, here in Europe it is an A3/B4 oil with a very good add pack, lots of Zddp, Moly, and now it's SP rated. Every engine I've used it in made it run quieter , leak less oil and burn less oil. Recommended it to friends and they also almost unanimously agree...

DUMB question, mixing Shampoo and Spray Wax?

I'll give it a go in a spot that is not too visible and see what happens. I already tried mixing a little bit of the two in a small bottle, and shaked it well and it seems to make plenty of foam and i rubbed it between my fingers and the lubricity is certainly there.

DUMB question, mixing Shampoo and Spray Wax?

Increasing coolant concentration to raise coolant temp?

The oil definitely is getting hot as there is never even a trace of condensation or milk on the cap even after doing short trips and running errands around town, and the oil pressure drops from about 3/4 stone cold to 1/4 or a little less at hot idle.

Increasing coolant concentration to raise coolant temp?

You are probably correct as i took some readings with an IR thermometer the other day after a long drive and around the top of the intake area and thermostat housing the temp is between 180-195F, maybe a little bit cool but not too much, with the gauge almost in the middle, it's just that all my...

Increasing coolant concentration to raise coolant temp?

This one was sold originally in Finland, so it has the Heavy Duty heating system aswell as mud guards in the front wheel arches. If you turn the heat on full you roast like a chicken inside. :ROFLMAO:

Increasing coolant concentration to raise coolant temp?

Thank you, but make no mistake, it's a daily driver, not a garge queen, i use it to go shopping, carrying stuff from the local home depo type place, helping friends move their stuff from one house to another etc, going to the beach in summer, raining in winter, without exception hehe.

Increasing coolant concentration to raise coolant temp?

Well, yesterday i went out to run some errands around town and afternoon rush hour traffic was horrible, over an hour of stop and go traffic, so the engine had plenty of time to warm up. When i got home the gauge was **** near the middle so i pulled outthe infrared thermometer and measured the...

    Fake Rockoil Carbon in Europe

Looks very suspicious. Buy known brands, from official distributors. No offence but as soon as you said Romania i thought ... Makes sense. Fake oils are a common problem in Eastern Europe.

Is it safe to mix 0W20 and 5W30 in 75/25 proportion of the same oil brand and type?

I've done it many times to create my own brews, no problem at all especially if they are the same brand and specs.

    Zerex G05 for Range Rover?

They are both OAT coolants , free of any IAT inhibitors, I believe G30 does not contain 2-Eha, Dexcool sure does. In the EU 2-Eha has been banned and is being phased out. You could use G30, or G40, the only difference is G40 contains Silicates unlike G30, either would work fine.
