any reason not to use amsoil series 3000 5w30 or ame 15w40 instead of using amsoil 0w40 in my sportsman 500? i was thinking 5w30 in winter and 15w40 in summer. whats the reasoning behind 0w40, other than being what polaris recommends? thanks

my dad has a klr 650. its a great bike. i run amsoil 10w40 in his and it works great. he lowered it a little during the winter, added a center stand, and lowered the gearing a tooth. can't wait to try it on the back roads now. still doesn't look as good as the norton and bmw its stabled with.

1990 kdx 200 kawasaki recommends 10w30 or 10w40 oil for the gear case. i have a bunch of amsoil 0w40, 15w40(blend and full synthetic), and series 300 5w30. anything thing wrong w/ using any of these? amsoil states that they are all ok for wet clutches. which would be best? i'm in new england so...

am i correct in figureing that 3 oz of amsoil intercepter per gallon of gas is a 50:1 mixture? thanks -jason

how about using a very, very small amount mixed in the gas of a 2 stroke engine where the crank is lubed by the gas/oil mixture? such as a snowmobile?

new stuff i just started using is called ILFC ten-35 read up on it, it's good stuff.

what iron based additive did you use? i just started using ilfc ten-35 which is iron based.
