    Any IPSC shooters here?

I second the advice of going to matches and watching. Most people are quite willing to talk, and it's quite likely you'll be approached by someone to offer help and insight

How long should I wait before waxing?

What did the shop that painted it say when you asked them?

    2005 Legacy GT: Head Gasket

I've been limping this car along on pretty short trips and it hasn't overheated. I drive it about 10.5 miles per day (two trips to the park to walk my dogs). Here's perhaps a silly question: On the oil change prior to the overheating, I had changed from 5w30 to the Rotella 5w40. Is there any...

Improvement over the last report. Virtually no oil consumption. This was with a Fram Ultra Synthetic Filter No track days on this interval. Approximately 2,000 highway miles. Remainder would be city driving in Denver heat.

The Glock you never knew you wanted

i've never understood the pink guns or girled-up guns. women's cars aren't decorated like that, nor are other women's products across the board. They're hideous, frankly, and that one in the first pic is even uglier than some i've seen

What to do when your Glock jams

it's obviously speculation, but it's entirely possible the glock jammed from a contact shot in a 2'x 4' tunnel. who knows--luckily he was able to employ the war hammer!

    Grit guard wash board

I use the 4 mitt method and don't worry about grit guards. After washing the car, the mitts go into the washer.

    Windshield Rain Repellent

I've always wanted to try a sealant or aquapel, but have used rain-x without a problem since the late 80s. I don't get the glare that some report. It's fast, cheap, easy, and lasts well enough such that it's not a pain to reapply every month. I've read about fake aquapel on amazon. I don't know...

Best Off The Shelf Car Wash Liquid ?

For off the shelf, look at Griot's or Meguiar's Gold Class. Gold Class can be found at any Walmart. Griot's would require a trip to an auto parts store (Advance and Pep Boys sells it, and they also generally have Gold Class, too)

    Sonoma This weekend!

Unfortunately, I don't think Hendrick cars will win anything this year. The three non-Johnsons are hacks (yes, they are). Elliot is another Kyle Petty--all mouth. Byron and Bowman have shown over and over they can't get it done. Johnson may find a way, but it'll take all the skill he's got
