'96 Buick Roadmaster 61k: valve cover pictures

Ran two Caprices 'into the ground' so to speak w/ that engine. Really enjoyed using them. Miss it. The Cr Vic is good but the LT1 Caprices were great...! Enjoy your Buck version. Run it! John.

    20w40 in Yamaha?

Shared sump machine - have one myself. Use various weight Rotella oils over the years. Tried the new T5 in 15w-40 in this Fall's oil change. Will see how that works come Spring. John.

    S&W .44 Mag - 629 6.5" barrel

I just love this. I eat up anything to do w/ S & W's... Can attest to the advantages of a 5" revolver. Used to be issued w/ a 5" Model 10 once upon an age... Can still recite the serial # of that, now long-since-destroyed, K-frame. I can close my eyes, hold out my hands & take it's double-action...

    General Altimax Arctic Review

Winter tires are simply required equipment when you have those conditions. I used up a set of Altimax tires on the Grand Caravan that we off-loaded for a CX-9 this year. Loved those tires & the value that they represent. A set of Goodyear UltraGrip Ice tires on rims were included on the deal &...

    Motorcycle myths

Been on two wheels since ~'88. Was taught appropriately at a Rider Safety course & a female instructor told me to ride as if I was invisible. And if the car driver DID see me, she told me to assume that they were all trying to kill me. I have never forgotten it & I have ridden accordingly ever...

Best oil for Honda 3000 Quiet Gen???

Rotella T5 10w-30 or T6 5w-40. I use 10w-30 in my Yamaha-engined Rigid. Seems like a smart choice to me. Would use the T6 in a hotter climate, extended use, perhaps. John.

New S&W 66 vs old ones

I love my 4" Model 19. Of all of my guns, it's in my top two (an un-issued No. 4 .303, everything matching is my top gun) & I really love a K-frame. As nice as L-frame's are, I just cannot seem to get into them. Have a neat J-frame that I love but, seriously, an airweight pumping out 'FBI loads'...

    Retired from the USN

Thank you for your service Sir! Whilst I may be North of your border, I grew up alongside NAVFAC Argentia & my family made some life-long friends w/ members of the USN. There was some wide-eyed conversations that I recall experiencing in the presence of an old Naval Aviator. Used to fly the S2...
