    Ideas to flavor water

I use Mio, particularly the Orange Vanilla and Lemonade flavors. The Orange Vanilla tastes like a Dreamsicle. No sugar, does contain Sucralose / Splenda. Quite portable for traveling. https://www.kraftheinz.com/mio

    Fusion barbecue?

A similar concept, Curry Boys Barbecue has expanded, adding a location here in San Antonio recently. We haven't been there yet, dunno if the menu really appeals to me. I'm a traditional backyard BBQer. https://www.curryboysbbq.com/curry-boys-bbq-stmarys

    who owns your food suppliers.......

HEB has their own factories in San Antonio to directly manufacture HEB brand groceries distributed in their stores throughout the state. When I lived in Northern Ohio I particularly missed the produce section at HEB.

    who owns your food suppliers.......

HEB is The Supermarket in Texas, with no stores in any other state. Here in Sunny San Antonio they've driven out all competition except Walmart and Target. We only happen to buy staples at Walmart when we go there for a specific item HEB doesn't carry. When we lived in NE Ohio, Giant Eagle also...

the OFFICIAL "Advance Auto Parts (AAP) closing" thread ... put ALL deals, rebates, etc here ... (forum rules still apply)

Well I was still able to use the“2024 Black Friday motor oil” search term in a different browser (Chrome) and still obtain the clearance pricing. Remaing clearance jugs of 0W-20 are further away in areas of town I rarely visit but individual quarts are still available nearby. So I bought two...

Clearance price was $5.36 / quart on these single quarts. FWIW I was able to use the 2024 Black Friday Oil Sale search phrase in a different browser to...

the OFFICIAL "Advance Auto Parts (AAP) closing" thread ... put ALL deals, rebates, etc here ... (forum rules still apply)

Picked up my 4 jugs of 0W-20 this evening. There was no M1 Truck & SUV left on the shelves, all of it had been pulled. Saw online discount at that same store individual quarts were $5.36 for 5W-20 so I passed on those. Couldn't find any other M1 Truck & SUV 0W-20 online at clearance price so I...

Worked for me, thank you. I bought 4 jugs of 0W-20 online, $14 each + tax. I'll pick them up Saturday. No real sale price online for individual quarts for me. I'll see what the shelf prices are when I pick up the jugs.

    Supertech oil

OP, I used the term "Supertech" in a search at the PQIA website, and got back these results that quantify many of the additives used along with base oil to produce the lubricant. You can use that same Search function on the PQIA site to examine their quantitative test results to compare. Note...

Can we do more with used oil?

Using recycled motor oil on its own or blended with other refined products requires no re-refining. It's still resource conserving.

Can we do more with used oil?

Blending into fuel oil or direct use for heating is still resource conserving by substituting for crude oil derivatives into whatever fuel grade is in use. This is quite different to blending used motor oil into unrefined crude oil. A refiner isn't even required it's just a blending operation...

Can we do more with used oil?

I worked at multiple petroleum refineries and none I worked at blended used motor oil with the incoming crude. I've mentioned before the additives that transform base oils to Lubricants are poisons for catalysts in the refining process. Used oil re-refineries use a process technology called thin...

Can we do more with used oil?

Same with penalizing gasoline blended without ethanol through the RIN system. These matters are not put up for public vote is my gripe. I found one other retail partially blended from re-refined oil it's from Phillips 66 called Firebird. There are no Phillips 66 retail oils available where I...

Can we do more with used oil?

I was always talking about retail costs. I've never had any knowledge of blending costs, pretty much like the vast majority of the motoring public. Unless I snag some of the M1 for trucks posted about being clearanced currently at AA, I'll likely go back to Supertech as my stash of QSUD Full...

Can we do more with used oil?

I never saw NextGen cheaper than other "conventional" oils - especially on Walmart shelves where Super Tech oils made from crude with the same approvals were significantly lowest cost of ownership. Same approvals. When clearanced, prices significanty dropped at clearance, with board members...
