    Word problem for math nerds

Decades ago I would have solved this with matrices. I never had the motivation to do stuff like this just for amusement after I finished college. Today you could probably set this up in a spreadsheet and have Excel solve it.

Anybody use VRBO for a vacation get away ?

We've used VRBO pretty extensively on scuba vacations in Hawaii and the Caribbean, especially St. Croix, both last decade and this decade with zero complaints from us on our selections.

    4L80E. Any Recommendations? Dex VI?

That's why I'd use PP HM ATF or Mobil 1 ATF in such a transmission personally. Both are formulated for Dex III applications, and Mobil 1 ATF was around before Dex VI came out IIRC. Royal Purple Max ATF would be a third alternative...

    Does gas station matters

There's also a former Sun oil refinery in Toledo, now owned by PBF, for a total of 4 refineries in Ohio (one each in Lima & Canton, and two in Toledo). https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20110301005704/en/Sunoco-Completes-Sale-Toledo-Refinery

    PP or QSUD 5w20

According to SOPUS, GTL base stocks are not used in QS products or what was PYB (conventional Pennzoil) formulations. I still have a bunch of QSUD I got for $0.99 / qt. after rebate from Menard's a few years ago. It ran fine in my wife's 2011 V6 Mustang and it will run fine in her 2017 V8...

Slant 6/ What's old is new again..

I had a '69 Plymouth Duster with slant six & three on a tree that was bulletproof when I was 17 until 19. No A/C, bench seats, a notched rod under the dash pulled with the hand for the parking brake, dimmer switch on the floor, and turn signal indicators on the tops of the front fenders. PH8A...

    Does gas station matters

I worked at the Canton, OH (heritage Ashland) Marathon refinery from early 2001 until mid-2005. We sold motor fuels directly across the truck rack at the refinery, but BP operated a small terminal served by pipeline in the southeast area of town. Being near the border, some product was sold in...

    Why is raw sugar expensive?

My favorite is pink Hawaiian salt, it's salt with red-pink mud from the island of Kauai, we saw the salt raker's ponds there when we visited. A premium price for a muddy product!

    Why is raw sugar expensive?

Pure cane syrup is my ingredient for homemade BBQ sauce or pecan pie, not granulated sugar. Steen's is the most widely used brand. My dad put cane syrup on his pancakes; I've never seen any trees with syrup taps in Texas or Louisiana. No idea if it's vegan approved as I belong to the People for...

"The Real Problem with the American Auto Industry"

The fact my experience was not an isolated incident fuels speculation PPU is using brass that's not up to handling NATO spec 9mm ammo pressures. The brass lacks the NATO headstamp, or even a +P headstamp. I brought this to PPU's attention with basically a "so what?" response from PPU...

Continued Declines in Venezuelan Petroleum Industry

Venezuela also produces very low sulfur "bottomless" crude from upgraders much like Canadian syncrudes. Zuata Sweet is one example. https://www.ogj.com/articles/print/...-to-offer-zuata-sweet-crude-in-2002.html

"The Real Problem with the American Auto Industry"

I guess I'll send Zastava an email inquiry. We have Serbian ammo from Prvi Partizan available here in the USA. I had an unfortunate incident with their 9mm "NATO" ammo (which is NOT manufactured for NATO by PPU), they gave me 2X cost in rifle ammo in exchange for the PPU 9mm NATO ammo I...

Continued Declines in Venezuelan Petroleum Industry

In Venezuela, the petroleum industry has been under the control of the military for some time now. This has evolved into intimidation of workers like cargo inspectors whose job is to be an independant third party verifying both quantity and quity of a shipment (I worked my way through college as...
