    Best filter for 10,000 OCI

What’s there to get? I love Amsoil, and I use it proudly. Seven is my lucky number….Amsoil7. Look, Amsoil is sold cheap and conveniently located at an old mechanic shop just a hop from my house. However, the filters are not sold there, so I don’t use them. Plus, they are too expensive for me...

    Best filter for 10,000 OCI

Hey guys. What seems to be the consensus around here as to the best oil filter for a 10,000 mile OCI. I have been using Mobil 1 EP filters, but I was just curious if there is a cheaper priced filter that most people consider as good.

    2005 Honda Accord: Which oil?

Hi guys. My wife’s 2005 Honda Accord is coming due for an oil change, and I am wanting a little bit cheaper oil, but I don’t want to sacrifice quality. We bought the car new, and after the break in period, I put Mobil 1 5W-20 in and that is what it has been running since. I change the oil every...

    Help on used vehicle, please

Good news guys. I found the TN application for registration receipt in the glove box (don’t know how I overlooked that the first time), and along with it the official Dodge shipping instructions sheet. By looking at the dates, my truck was shipped to a Memphis Dodge dealer after being built, and...

Why to change your own oil.

Wait...you put oil in the oil filter before you put it on? I have never heard of that. I put oil around the rubber seal, but that is it. After it is on and the drain plug is in, then I fill er' up. So, how much do you put in the filter?

    Help on used vehicle, please

Nah, the filter is gone...wish I'd known you could check that though. I did check the glovebox after I bought it, and everything was there, but no records in the maintenance log. I did find a thing that showed Enterprise Rental had purchased the truck new from the dealer in Dec of 2005. So...

Why to change your own oil.

$25.00. Included in that is inspecting all fluids, vacuuming out the inside of the car, and a free drive through basic car wash.

Why to change your own oil.

That’s awful…I can’t believe it. I change my own oil because I drive trucks, but I take my wife’s Honda Accord to a “fastlube” because I don’t have a jack. Fortunately, I know all of the guys there, and they let me come downstairs with them why they change it and then I follow them back up when...

    Help on used vehicle, please

Hi, guys. I am new to the boards, and I was hoping for some advice. I just purchased my first used vehicle ever from a Dodge Dealer. It is a 2006 Dodge Ram 155 QC 4.7lV8. It has 30,000 miles on the engine, and it drives like a dream. I immediately ran a Carfax (no problems), and changed the oil...
